Chad nodded, introducing to Molly, "This is Orlando from Oakridge Springs."

Molly politely greeted, "Nice meeting you, Mr.Orlando."

"Officer Chad, you got some nice genes in your family."

Chad just smiled faintly.

The last of the work was handed over to his subordinates, and he left with Molly.

"Come over for a meal at my place? I'll make pies for you."

"The pasta at my place is really tasty. You should come over."

The officers left felt helpless. Officer Chad ditched them and just left like that.

Molly craved beef noodles, so Chad took her to a small restaurant near the police station. She found a seat by the window, and Chad went to order and pay for the food.

"Officer Chad, you brought your little sister for a meal again. How come I haven't seen you bring her here recently?" The restaurant owner greeted Chad warmly.

Chad answered, "We've been pretty busy lately."

He pointed to a bottle of orange juice on the counter, "I'll take another bottle of drink."

Having said that, Chad paid. He returned to Molly with the drink and handed it to her. "Why are you looking for me again today?"

Molly just then remembered why she was looking for Chad, she almost forgot.

"I saw my friends being all lovey-dovey with their partners. It made me feel a bit sour, so I came to find you."

Chad said, "Be honest."

Molly was speechless; every time she lied, Chad could tell. She pouted unhappily.

Chad said, "I've watched you grow up, I can tell if you're lying with just one look."

"Last night at dinner, Bruce mentioned you're working on a case related to the Marshal family, seems like it's a bit tough. I'm worried about you, so I came over to see if there's anything I can help with."

"Will you be so good?" Chad was a bit skeptical. If she didn't know the situation, she would definitely probe.

Molly nodded, "I'm a law-abiding citizen. I can't let you feel embarrassed."

Chad asked again, "You came over just for this?"

"Yes. I could have heard what Bruce said last night, but Andre didn't let him say it, just to avoid our three curious ears."

"Well, so you know you're too curious huh."

Molly didn't refute Chad, she was concerned about Chad's work, so she asked what she was worried about. "Is the case you're working on now difficult?"

"No talking, let's eat."

The noodles were served, and the two siblings started eating.

During the meal, Hansen called. "Where are you, why aren't you eating at home?"

"I'm with Chad."

Hansen complained, "What are you doing hanging out with him all day? Are you coming back this afternoon?"

"Got it."

"Okay, I'll wait for you at home, come back as soon as possible."

After hanging up the phone, Chad transferred all the beef in his bowl to Molly's. "Shall I take you home after we finish eating?"

"I'm a bit tired. I want to rest in your office for a while before going home."

Chad laughed, "Is the big bed at home not comfortable? You'd rather squeeze on the sofa?"

However, Chad still let Molly have her way.

Chad said, "Such a simple relationship, yet you deliberately misled him. You're in charge of the toilet cleaning this week."

"I..."

Everyone thought Donnie deserved it, and even clapped happily.

Molly stayed at the police station for the afternoon, Chad was too busy to say a word to Molly. In the end, Molly went out to buy dinner and brought a few meals to the police station before leaving.

"Molly, why did you buy dinner for us. Aren't you eating?"

Molly answered, "Because you guys are working hard. I'll eat at home, my family is waiting for me."

Chad walked in just in time to hear Molly's words, he felt warmed.

He didn't have time to send her off, so Molly ended up taking a taxi home by herself.

Then Chad started rubbing his hands together, "Let us have a meeting while having dinner."

All the officers gathered around to look at the report in Chad's hands; they were finally about to tackle the thorny problem of Officer Rubin.

Molly also made it home, as soon as she walked in, she announced, "I'm back."

But no one responded.

Usually, as soon as she hit the door, Hansen would come out with a big grin to greet her. Molly was puzzled. Where was everyone?

She walked into the living room, didn't see any of her family, but there was Andre on the couch, looking pissed, with two of his buddies sitting there looking like they'd been put in the doghouse.

"What's going on?" Molly asked in confusion.

Andre thought it was their trio who had done this thing, and he said to Molly, "Go stand over there."

And Molly made a beeline for there.
