Mia came clean, “Molly was about to get into a fight, and as her best friend, I had to have her back.”

Andre raised an eyebrow, “Why was she fighting?”

“You’d have to ask her. I just got a few people together, I wasn’t even there. Last night, you were still holding me close, remember?”

Andre: “…”

Andre’s deep-set eyes focused on his wife’s chubby cheeks.

Thinking about the list his assistant gave him earlier, Andre shifted in his seat, questioning, “You sure know how to pick them, huh? Almost half of the top 40 fighters from The Silent Ring.”

Mia looked down, mumbling, “If we’re going to fight, we need the best, can’t have amateurs getting beaten up, right?”

Andre, hearing her clearly, was once again left speechless.

After a moment, Andre asked, “She asked you to find people, why didn’t she do it herself?”

Mia’s chest puffed up with pride, “Well, she’s not as famous as I am. When ‘Auntie’ here sends out a call, the fighters line up to sign up. Molly is just a small fry in The Silent Ring, she doesn’t have much pull. Her calls get ignored. But when I send out a call, the system automatically boosts it to the top!”

Even while admitting her mistake, she made sure her husband knew just how influential she was in The Silent Ring.

Mrs. Cedillo’s pride lasted all but two seconds before her husband’s comment deflated her.

Andre: “If you’re so great, you can finish your thesis on your own.”

“I can’t! Babe, I’m just a nobody.”

Andre snorted, and Mia quickly tried to appease him, “Honey, I’m not great at all. My husband is the greatest man in the world.”

Andre’s lips curved up, waiting to see what else she would say.

“To me, my husband is my everything. In his eyes, I’m just a trashy little treasure.”

Andre raised an eyebrow: Oh, trash can be a treasure?

Mia snuggled into her husband’s arms, turning on her kitty charm to win him over. Mia’s first tactic: sweet talk.

“Honey, I’m only dumb because I’ve been pregnant, my IQ has tanked. In my mind, 1+1=3. With my current brainpower, how can I write a thesis? You can’t just leave me hanging.

If I don’t graduate, people will point fingers at you. They’ll definitely say behind your back, ‘Look at Andre, no matter how rich or capable he is, he couldn’t even get his wife to graduate. How embarrassing.’” Mia mimicked gossiping with a pointed finger.

Andre, his arm around her waist, watched the dramatic Mia on his lap, a smile creeping into his eyes.

“1+1=3 isn’t wrong, one you plus one me equals a family of three.”

Mia instantly regretted her words. If she had known, she would have said “1+1=100,” but she couldn’t possibly have 99 babies.

Looks like sweet talk won’t work, she’ll have to come up with something else.

“Honey, people who don’t keep their word will go bankrupt.”

Andre: “Let it go bankrupt.”

“If you go broke, I’ll take our son and marry another rich man.”

The little kitty accidentally stepped on the business emperor’s last nerve. Andre’s smile faded, his gaze sharp, his face serious as he stared at his soft wife.

Mia was so intimidated by her husband’s aura that she couldn’t meet his gaze.

She bit her lip, not daring to utter a word.

In the end, a firm slap landed on her butt. “Did you make a mistake?”

She finally understood what it felt like to be frustrated.

After disciplining his wife, Andre picked up the gift box, took out the bracelet inside, reached for his wife’s hand, ready to put the bracelet on her. “Try today’s gift.”

“I won’t try!” Mia sulked, her hands behind her back.

Andre glanced at the sulking Mia, he didn’t indulge her, but casually put the bracelet on the table.

Watching his wife throwing a tantrum.

After a while, there was a knock on the door. “Sir, madam, Henry needs to be fed.”

No one in the room responded, Andre looked at the wife sitting on his lap.

Mia’s eyes lit up, she had a new idea. Sweet talk didn’t work, negotiation failed, why not try the threat tactic?

After a moment, the servant knocked again, “Sir, madam, Henry is crying from hunger.”

Nursing Mia didn’t move a muscle, leveraging her advantage to make a threat, “Change your punishment, and I’ll feed your son.”

Andre took a deep breath, looked at the door, and ordered the servant, “Feed him formula.”

Mia turned to look at her husband’s stern profile, wondering if even their son couldn’t soften his heart.

“Henry doesn’t like formula, he’s used to breast milk. We can’t get him to drink it,” the nanny interjected.

The toddler’s wailing could already be heard from the doorway.

Andre, ruthless as ever, showed no sign of leniency even towards his own son. “If he won’t eat, then let him starve,” he declared.
