Before long, during dinner, Molly overindulged in bananas and ended up feeling queasy. Chad, feeling bad for her, skipped his own meal and took her for a walk to help her digest.

They had planned to catch a play, but instead, they were given a stern warning instead.

Finally, in front of everyone, Mia planted a kiss on her husband, which seemed to flip Henry's switch to full-on boss mode! He clung to his dad's head, pulling at his hair, his mouth wide open as he playfully nibbled on his dad's face. Only after leaving a trail of drool did he finally stop.

Conner took a moment to chat privately with Molly about Annie. "What you mentioned before didn’t quite do the trick," he confessed.

Molly quipped back, "Maybe if you treated me like Chad treats his sweetheart, it might have."

That one-liner ruffled a couple of feathers, especially since they were rivals in love.

Anya got back from study time with Leo and greeted him, "Hey, Uncle Leo."

Seeing a familiar face, Teddy smiled and nodded, "Where’ve you been, Anya? Haven’t seen you around since you got here."

The business circles aren’t that big, and the Yan family and Calder Corporation had some dealings, so they all knew each other.

"I went to find Chad," she replied casually.

Naomi, playing the concerned aunt, asked, "Anya, have you eaten? We’ve got some food saved for you."

"Aunt Naomi, I already ate with Chad," Anya reassured her.

Andre, who was busy holding a little doll, didn’t even bat an eye.

Anya, slightly nervous, glanced at Andre and said, "Uncle, Chad wants to see the baby."

Andre put his son on the ground, letting it be.

Anya scooped up the little one and dashed out, handing the walking toddler over to her boyfriend.

Leo caught Henry at the door and placed him on the car's hood. "Hey buddy, show your uncle some moves, let me see you walk."

But Henry burst into tears on the hood.

The more he cried, the more his family showered him with kisses.

By nine o'clock, everyone had left.

They didn't get any juicy gossip about Andre, and instead got a warning from his charming wife. Instead of getting kisses from their godson, they had to take turns just to hold him.

As they left, Asher grumbled, "Conner, you should just marry Annie and have a son already. I can't stand Andre’s smugness, acting like he's the only one with a cute kid."

Mars chimed in, "Exactly!"

Teddy added, "If you’re having a kid, start with a daughter. He doesn’t have one, let’s make him green with envy."

Mars agreed again, "Right!"

Asher suggested, "Or better yet, have twins, a boy and a girl, and really make him jealous."

Mars nodded, "Right!"

Conner, wearing a dreamy smile, said, "Yeah, that sounds good. I’ll have to discuss it with Kasha about having kids, but ultimately, it’s up to her. Honestly, you guys are my true bros. Look at Andre, he got a family and forgot about us."

Mars then asked, "So Conner, when are you going to win over Officer Chapman?"

Silence filled the car.

In the Cedillo family’s bedroom, Mia sat at her vanity, gazing happily at the growing numbers in her private bank account.

Her test papers were spread out on the table; she planned on pulling an all-nighter to finish them. Henry sat on his mom’s lap, trying to munch on her pen case.

"Honey, let’s just move past today’s little incident. In the future, you’d better think twice before crossing me."

Andre came out of the bathroom, towel-drying his hair, and went up to his wife, holding their freshly bathed son. "I just wanted to ease your mind, didn’t mean to leave you out of the loop. That was careless of me."

Mia wasn’t one to hold grudges. Apart from her initial anger, she realized it was a minor hiccup. They couldn’t let something so small disrupt their lives, let alone consider divorce over it—too dramatic and not how a couple should be.

Andre, leaning over his wife, smiled, "Well, I was just scaring you too."

With that, his lips met her smooth shoulder.

In no time, what started as a bit of teasing turned real, as the room filled with soft whispers, proving Mia should’ve known better than to trust Andre’s playful threats.

...

In a blink, Anya was gearing up for exams too.

In the early morning, Leo swung by to pick up his girlfriend for her school exams. Andre was dropping off his wife for her grad classes.

The uncle and nephew passed each other without a word, their cars brushing past.

Mia, munching on a big sandwich in the passenger seat, commented, "Without you two, I wouldn’t bother watching that soap opera."

Before long, Anya rushed out holding a "little sandwich."

Leo, looking at the sleepy bundle of joy, exclaimed, "Why’d you bring him out?!"

Anya, hugging Henry, explained, "Chad, my exam's gonna take a while, and you’d be bored waiting in the parking lot. I found you a little buddy. Don’t worry, my aunt's already in class, and you and uncle are having a spat, he won’t call to take the baby back."

Anya smartly placed her backpack on the back seat, stuffed with all of Henry’s essentials.

With the morning rush hour approaching, Leo found the wait tedious. But the thought of having only Henry for company made it more bearable.

So, he drove off.

Waking up in the early morning, Hansen noticed the empty crib in the living room. He figured his youngest son must have been taken to the office by his partner, so he decided to catch up on some sleep.

When Naomi came downstairs and saw the crib empty, she assumed her father had taken the baby to enjoy a lazy morning together. Thus, she left for a brunch date with friends.

After Andre bid his wife goodbye and drove back home, he noticed his son wasn’t in the crib. Misunderstanding that Naomi had taken the baby, he quickly changed clothes and headed to the office.
