"I request everyone present here to calm down right away. I don't care what happened to Nancy. The only truth is that I love her. And as for the story of her marriage it is actually a lie. Joseph cooked up the whole story for his own benefit. Nancy was never married," Charles announced severely.

"Exactly. Good point. When did she get married? Derrick why are you after Charles's happiness? What stings you so badly? And Joseph, you...." Looking at Joseph in sheer anger, Angelina growled, "I have always treated you as my own child. I have always been kind to you. But look at you. You thought it was appropriate to back stab me like this? Aren't you ashamed of yourself? You turned out to be even more ungrateful than your father!"

But Joseph was just a rogue so he did not even listen to Angelina with any concentration.

With an impudent smile on his face Joseph walked casually up to Angelina and informed, "Auntie what you don't see is that I thought of your good all the while. Why are you painting me as the villain? That is unfair! Compared to you, I am not as cunning. You tried to clutter my focus by finding new women for me every day. You wanted me to immerse myself in these shallow pleasures so that I never extend a hand towards the TS Group, and become a potential competitor for Charles. Isn't it? But Auntie there is nothing to worry about. I want nothing to do with the TS Group. I just want my shares. Half of my brother's shares are enough for me!"

"There is no way that is going to happen!" Angelina almost fainted as she shouted in anger.

"No way you say? You make me laugh. Grandpa is it really so?" Joseph glanced at Frederic with a sly look on his face.

Frederic looked completely flushed by now. He was not expecting Derrick to do something so reckless. He could not believe that Derrick would come back home with reporters.

This was his usual resting time.

He remembered hearing the servant say that Derrick had come.

He was in fact delighted to think that Derrick still remembered him. But when he saw the reason for his actual visit Frederic was in for a huge shock.

Derrick announced with utmost arrogance that he was there to conduct a press conference in the old Fu Family mansion because he wanted to reveal something important to the media.

This important piece of news was that of the marriage between Edward and Nancy.

To Frederic this marriage between Edward and Nancy was the least of the concerns. What he was worried about was Derrick's real intentions. He knew this for a fact that Derrick came back with the sole purpose of competing against Charles in order to get hold of the TS Group.

Frederic would be the last person to stand there and watch the TS Group suffer like this.

Moreover Joseph's demand for half of Charles's share was unreasonable to say the least. That was absolutely out of question.

If Joseph possessed half of Charles's shares and that of the small shareholders' as well, Charles would be left in great jeopardy. That was not admissible.

At this rate, the future of the TS Group would be completely immersed in confusion. Frederic would never accept such a fate for his beloved company.

So no matter what the reality was he needed to support

Charles.

"Derrick how come all your attention is focused on Charles's personal life? Let me inform you, I am still here, up and strong. Don't try to mess with the TS Group. You got a host of reporters just to spew out some gossip about Nancy and Edward's marriage? Well, Nancy who do you love? Give me your honest answer! Right now!" Frederic looked at Nancy as he roared in anger.

Nancy had clearly understood Derrick's plan by this point of time. She no longer cared about mere emotions like love. She needed to secure Charles's position in the TS Group now.

So she confidently declared, "I look upon Edward as my brother. While it is true that he was the one who took care of me while I was abroad, it does not prove the fact that we were in love. The only person that I truly love is Charles. I have always loved him and it will remain as it is in the future as well!"

The whole crowd burst out in a series of loud gasps.

"Oh my goodness, there is no doubt that Nancy is shameless. Look at her pronouncing her love for Charles even though she is married. This is such a disgrace!"

"Yes, I am pretty sure that Nadia is Edward's daughter."

"How can you be so sure? It is hard to say with such confidence. No one till date could find out who is Nadia's father."

"Wonder who got betrayed in all this? Charles or Edward?"

The journalists gossiped among themselves as they smelled possible fodder for their content.

So if Nadia was Charles's daughter, it meant he and Nancy knew each other for five long years.

Was it believable?

"What is happening? All this is too confusing!" Frederic's voice shook.

Charles glared at Derrick and shouted, "I guess now you know what actually happened? Is that enough for you to stop spreading rumors?"

During that time Frederic was desperate for an heir so he was eager to have a great grandson. That naturally left Charles with no other choice but to find a woman and fulfill Frederic's demand. Derrick and Joseph both knew this very well.

"Charles, are you telling me that Nancy is the woman who gave birth to your child five years ago?" Derrick wore an ominous smile as he spoke.

"It's her!" Taking a soft breath Charles continued to speak, "During that time, Nancy fell pregnant with twins. My mother just took Bobby away, while Nadia went missing. To tell the truth Nadia was kidnapped by some bad guy!"

Joseph suddenly started laughing as if someone had cracked a huge joke. "Charles come on that is a lovely story! But tell us now if whatever you are saying is true, why did you hide it till now? It is clear you want to make fools out of us so that you can easily cover up for Nancy' relation with Edward. Although I admit you thought quickly, your story is hardly believable."

"Exactly. Joseph is absolutely right. Can you show me any evidence?" Derrick seemed worried. If indeed Nadia was Charles's daughter then his plan to frame Edward and Nancy would fall flat on the ground.

If that happened he would never achieve his goal of occupying the TS Group. Derrick could not lose like that!

It would be next to impossible for him to come back. How could he willingly give up everything?
