"We have reasons to believe that David isn't the only person behind the club. It seems someone does not want Nana to wake up. The doctor said that Nana suffered from an overdose. Strangely enough, the footages show that only the nurse entered her ward." Colten sighed after he spoke.

"Am I a suspect as well?" Charles asked half-jokingly.

"Mr. Fu, we have yet to find a conclusive evidence. And as long as we don't have that, everyone is a suspect," Colten replied politely.

It was his way of saying that the whole Fu family was under investigation.

Charles sneered and said, "How's Nana? Hasn't she woken up yet?"

"Mr. Fu, do you want Nana to wake up?" Colten looked at Charles probingly.

"Of course!" Charles nodded.

"As far as I know, many people don't want Nana to wake up. We think that Nana must know the club's secrets," Colten added.

"Didn't David say something?" Charles asked.

"David had already confessed to his crime. As for anything else, we are still in the interrogation. But we still hope that you, Mr. Fu, can prove us some leads. We know how resourceful you are, Mr. Fu!" Colten made some insinuating remarks.

There was something peculiar to that case. Even though they already had a confession, it would seem that someone else wanted to silence Nana.

Nana's situation was unstable, and she was suddenly in a coma. It was obvious that someone had carefully plotted to eliminate her.

Now that the news had gone public, Colten must do everything in his power to solve the case; otherwise, it would cost him his credibility and career.

Worse, Finn had been crushed in a hit-and-run. They also had no clue where the driver had gone off to.

Colten couldn't let just things go. He had to find out who was behind all those crimes.

Colten was a little skeptical about Charles. The captain knew that powerful men had big dirty secrets.

Fortunately for Charles, there were no evidence against him.

"You have my utmost cooperation, Captain Colten," Charles said before he smiled coldly.

"Thank you, Mr. Fu!" Colten politely replied.

Right at that time, a nurse rushed into the ward.

Nancy grew nervous, afraid that something bad had happened to Nana.

"What happened?" Nancy asked hesitantly.

"Director Nancy, Nana is finally awake!" the nurse answered excitedly.

"Awake? What do you mean? Is she conscious?"

"She woke up. Fortunately, we found out in time. Otherwise, Nana might not be able to wake up at all!"

"Thank God!" Having Nana awake was great news.

As soon as Nancy finished speaking, she hurried back to Nana's ward. She removed Nana's bed sheets and changed them into new ones.

As Nancy finished, the doctor coincidentally pushed Nana into the ward.

"Nana, how are you feeling?" Nancy hurriedly walked up to Nana. She sounded gravely concerned.

Nana burst into tears when she saw Nancy.

She seemed to be holding back her words.

"What's wrong with her, doctor?" Nancy asked.

"The drug that was injected into her would render her mute. We have cleaned her stomach and intestines, yet residuals of the drug remain in her system. Don't worry. Nana will recover over time." The doctor did his best to comfort Nancy.

"Okay. There is no need to rush Nana anyways." Nancy nodded. She wanted Nana to recover as soon as possible.

Seeing the look on Charles' face, Nancy felt her heart sink. The guilt was too much for her to bear.

She fully understood why Charles was so angry.

Nancy was a calculated person. It was unusual for her to make such accusations; after all they had no evidence against Charles.

"If you have nothing to do with the club, then show me the evidence!" Nancy said in a low voice.

"I don't have anything for you, Nancy! I told you many times; I am not associated with that club!" Charles subconsciously raised his tone.

He was in no mood to explain.

The way she was treating him was totally unfair. 'So much for mutual trust...' the man thought.

"Okay, Charles. Do you have to be so furious?" To be honest, Nancy knew that what she did was wrong. She shouldn't have suspected that Charles was involved.

Nancy, for one, knew how offensive it was to be wrongly accused.

Charles had constantly done that to her, especially with matters involving Rick.

Nancy carefully looked at Charles and said, "Then tell me what happened between you and Brandy. Do you really have nothing to do with her?"

"Nothing!" Charles spat out the word.

He further struggled to hold back his anger!

"You and Brandy had a night in a bar. Are you telling me that nothing happened?" Nancy felt a sting in her heart whenever she thought of that.

Charles had explained to her before, but Nancy didn't believe it.

That very afternoon, Charles asked Brandy for drinks while Nancy watched.

That was a slap in Nancy's face.
