"You can't do that!"

I couldn't handle everything I heard and ended up leaning on the wall beside Papa's room's door. I looked above the ceiling. I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I don't know what I'm supposed to think. It was as if heaven and earth smashed me in between. It hurts. I shouldn't have let myself feel emotions that will ruin me.

When the door opened, I saw Olive going out. She was facing the other way while gripping at her clutch bag. She was wearing formal clothes and boots with heels beneath.

"Are you evil to do that to my father? Are you that desperate to marry me? Why me? Why do you have to get my father into this?! I shouted when she began walking.

I felt her stiffened. She stopped on her tracks, so I went to her and made her face me. Her beautiful and soft features were what greeted me. Olive was petite so she had to look up to me.

I saw a flicker of emotion run in her dark colored eyes. It was so fast that even I couldn't name it. Her eyes were changing so fast that it was too confusing for me, who was already swallowed by anger. I have a lot of things that I didn't know yet but I know I'm determined to do this. "Why do you want to marry me?" I repeated my question.

I didn't let her finish her sentence. I quickly grabbed her arm and pulled her to my father's room. Jen was surprised by our presence as her eyes lingered on me. She was hurt at what she's witnessing, but I didn't dare to spare a glance. I directly went in front of my father while still gripping at Olive's arm.

"Do you promise that my father will get better?" I said firmly. I made Olive face me while still gripping at her arm too tightly.

"Y-Yes," she answered.

I nodded and pulled her out of the room and out of the hospital. I immediately called a tricycle and pushed Olive inside before I entered. I told the driver of our destination. A destination that will change my life. The municipal hall.

Olive and I got married that day. The only witness was the Mayor who was Bernard Guerrero and its secretary. Mayor's wife, Miss Laura, was also there. Everything happened so fast. The documents were quickly processed. It was fast because it was manipulated by her money and influence.
