Kathy's POV

I was pulled into darkness by strong hands. I looked up to see Liam.

Oh my Gosh. I'm totally freaking out.

What do I say?

What do I now?

"What are you doing?"I asked him

He smiled charmingly. I almost melted there and then.

Could this get any worse?

"Do i really need to have a reason to see my mate?" he grinned widely

"Just reject me already" I mumbled.

He raised his hand to stroke my cheeks caressing them with his fingers.

His touch felt like heaven. I closed my eyes trying to enjoy the feeling.

"Now why would I do that?" he whispered

He started to kiss my neck up to my jawline. I felt sparks fly everywhere.

But I just can't. All the years of abuse. All the years of people telling me that I would never be good enough for anyone. All the years of bullying.

Who would ever love me? I better end this now before he gets hurt.

"I'm sorry I can't do this" I said.

I forced my way out of his arms and ran out of the room with tears in my eyes.

*

It was time for lunch in school. I was sitting alone as you can guess

Of course, nobody wants to hang out with the school freak.

The doors opened and all heads turned. Liam, Stephanie and some other guys came in.

I found out him and Stephanie were family friends. Liam and the two guys came over to where I was sitting.

Liam sat beside me. Girls gave me envious glares while whispering.

I became really nervous. Why would he still want to get close to me after what happened earlier?

"Why aren't you eating?" Liam asked me

I flinched. I wasn't allowed to. The only time I ate was when i sneaked out in the night to eat.

There was no way my brother would let me get food.

"I left my food at home. I was in a hurry" I lied

"Here have mine" he offered

He pushed the plate to me

I just can't eat. I got so used to it that I never bothered about food.

"Its okay"

I was feeling embarrassed already. I've never been given so much attention in my life.

"I'm not leaving you alone till you do"

A bite of the pancakes wouldn't hurt.... would it?

"Okay" I finally agreed

I took a bite. There. That wasn't so bad.

"Finish it"

He didn't even need to tell me twice before I did. It felt so good. I ate it slowly because I didn't want to embarrass myself. If I was alone, I would have eaten it like a dog because I was really hungry.

"Thank you" I said

"No problem"

One of his friends coughed

"Introduce *cough * us"

I did my best to hold in my laughter

"Oh sorry" Liam chuckled "This is Derek, my beta" He pointed to a cute blonde guy. 'And Peter, my Delta' he pointed to the other brunette.

They both smiled at me and waved.

I smiled and waved back.

We just talked and laughed. I was really grateful for their presence. I haven't had a full conversation with someone in my whole life.

Peter was really funny while Derek was quite shy but he contributed to our discussions every now and then.

We talked about everything from Liam's previous schools to the boys' ex girlfriends and all

It was Friday so after lunch we could go home. When the bell rung, I grabbed my backpack and went to pick Mason from school then went home.

Liam's P.O.V

"Hey dad I'm home" I announced as I came in

I looked for Kathy after lunch to take her home. You know, maybe get to know her a little but I figured she already left.

I was sad cause it was Friday which meant I won't see her till Monday.

I was so happy I found my mate. To top it off she was beautiful. But she was skinny like she was malnourished or something.

My dad walked into the living room where I was. I sat on the couch

"Hey kid" he said sitting down beside me
