He met her glare with a frown before replying smoothly, “It’s not like I haven’t seen them before. I still remember every single mole on your body.” 

Her breath caught, and she quickly averted her gaze, heat rushing to her cheeks. 

“Shameless bastard,” she muttered under her breath. 

Kane let out a low chuckle. “And you’re still as dramatic as ever. Just take a deep breath and relax. You’ll feel better soon.” 

As he unfastened the second button, the wound became more visible, and his expression darkened. His irises burned red as he took in the claw marks, stretching across her upper chest and trailing dangerously close to her collarbone. 

Selene squirmed under his gaze, a wave of awkwardness settling over her. She tugged at her wrist, trying to free herself. 

“Stop staring at my body like that. It’s making me uncomfortable,” she snapped. 

Kane lifted his gaze, locking eyes with her. The intensity in them made her breath hitch. Fire flickered deep within his pupils, raw and unrelenting.
