“Mommy, is Uncle Grayson coming too?” 

I studied his expression carefully before answering

Luna pouted, crossing her arms. “But it was supposed to be just the four of us.” 

Her words caught me off guard. “Why can’t he join us? I thought you both liked Uncle Grayson.” 

Leo blinked, hesitating before muttering, “We do… but we thought it was only going to be us.” 

I reached out to ruffle his hair gently, trying to reassure him. “He’s a really nice guy. You’ll have fun with him, I promise.” 

Neither of them responded after that. They just sat quietly. 

The rest of the car ride was filled with silence. I started to wonder if I had made a mistake. Their excitement from earlier had faded, and I felt guilty for unknowingly dampening their mood. 

Since when had they become so sentimental? 

The car pulled up in front of the restaurant, and we stepped out.
