The nurse headed out of the room without another word. Across the bed, Black was knocked out from his lack of sleep. Holley let out a huge sigh. 'Life is too good, ' she thought.

In that moment, the door creaked softly as someone pushed it open.

She shot her eyes towards the door's direction and found Scott on the other side. Bringing her index finger to her lips, she asked Scott to keep it down so Black could sleep in peace.

Careful not to make a sound, Scott made his way towards Holley's side. He grinned from ear to ear and asked, "Why are you so worried? You've got the guy, don't you?"

"What are you doing here? I've already paid you." Holley gritted her teeth. If she had known that Scott was secretly so manipulative, she wouldn't have asked him for help.

"Hey, Holley, we were classmates. I just wanted to pay you a visit." He shrugged off Holley's coldness, though, surprisingly, he was a bit saddened by it.

To Holley, Scott was just playing two face. They were not close enough for him to visit her out of the blue.

"Cut to the chase. Why are you really here?" she snapped. The longer Scott was here, the more the possibility for Black to see him increased. That wouldn't end well.

"Why the rush, Holley?" said Scott with a smirk.

Holley kept glancing back in Black's direction to make sure he was soundly asleep.

"Don't worry," said Scott. "I added some medicine to his water. He won't be waking up for a while." Seeing the anxiousness in Holley's face seemed to bother him.

"Excuse me? What did you do?" Suddenly, Holley's voice was nervous. She worked too hard to get to this point. If anything happened to Black because of Scott, she wouldn't know what to do.

"Don't sweat it. It's just sleeping powder," he reassured her. "Let's talk." Composed and unbothered, Scott folded his arms across his chest.

Holley motioned for him to continue.

"I'm not here to ask for more money. I'm just curious about what you did. Was it really necessary?" True to heart, Scott genuinely wanted to know why Holley had done what she did.

"It doesn't have anything to do with you," she shot back.

Scott's persistence was no match for Holley's distrustful self, and he knew that. He moved closer to her.

Unsurprised by this, she dodged him immediately.

"What do you want?" she said, frustrated.

"Let me make this clear," he whispered. "Don't ever cross me. You'll regret it." He turned his back on her and walked away.

Before exiting the door, Scott paused and faced her one last time.

Holley clenched her fists, afraid of what he'd do.

"Holley," he said, smiling. "About that money, I'm running a little short. Don't forget to pay your dues." All the tension in the room had caused it to slip his mind. She still owed him quite a lot.

"You..."

Holley had thought that the doctor had forgotten. However, she blurted that out reflexively, and so it was she who reminded him of the money.

"I'll give it to you. Just keep your mouth shut." Letting out a deep sigh of relief, Holley made her way back towards the bed.

She took this time to take out her phone and transfer Scott's money right away. No way in hell would she risk another episode.
