‘Charlie, how could you?!’

Taylor wanted to crush the bottle in his hand, but he could not. Instead, he let it drop to the floor. His head snapped in every direction, fiercely scanning his surroundings. The closest material he could use was right under his nose!

He and his friends were standing in front of a cocktail table.

Grabbing the edge of the tablecloth, Taylor yanked it hard! Fortunately, only Drew’s bottle was on the table, and Maxwell caught it before it hit the concrete.

“Hey, Taylor, chill. Drew doesn’t know,” Maxwell said, being the only one who understood his rage. Still, his words weren’t enough to stop Taylor.

Taylor’s eyes locked onto Charlie and Drew like a hawk. Of course, he did not miss Blondie’s panicked expression. ‘What? Regretting this now? I’m going to punish you for this, Charlie!’

She was clearly about to run. Her body language said it all. Thankfully, her sandal got trapped in the pool drain, except fucking Drew Wilder was helping her out!

Since Drew was thinking with his dick instead of his brain, he could not even get a simple high heel out of the drain! So, Charlie made a run for it—barefoot.

“I need to go!” she said, shaking off Drew’s hand.

“But your name, Angel! I didn’t get your name!” Drew called after her.

Charlie ran, and fucking Drew chased her. “Your name? Hey—”

Taylor grabbed Drew by the shoulder and declared, “She goes by Taylor’s Girlfriend, Drew. It’s already trademarked.”

Then, yanking Drew back, he restarted his chase on Blondie. It was too bad for Charlie; her legs were no match for Taylor’s. Just as she reached the exit of the pool area, he caught her arm.

Charlie flinched at his grip, and when she looked at him, he said aloud, “Babe? You came all this way to surprise me?”

***

Charlie thought she had escaped, sprinting barefoot, but alas—Taylor caught her and made everyone think she came to surprise him!
