Soon, they arrived at Fernwood Residence. Charlie meant to go straight to her room, but once they entered the condo, Taylor carried her and set her on the table.
“Taylor!” She tried to object, but what could she do to a guy a head taller than her and about fifty pounds heavier?
“What are we, Charlie? What are we? Because I won’t be your pretend lover anymore, got it? I want an answer now!” Taylor demanded, his gray eyes looking straight into hers. He was imposing yet too handsome to ignore. He was the kind of dangerous beauty that made her heart race even as he pushed for an answer.
Charlie gulped, looking back at him. She opened her mouth but struggled to speak. She said, “I - okay.”
“Okay, what?” Taylor asked, following her gaze as she tried to avoid his eyes.
“Okay, we are a couple. I agree to be your girlfriend, officially,” Charlie clarified, her face burning as the words left her.
“No more pretending?” Taylor asked, a faint smile showed on his handsome face.
“No more pretending,” Charlie echoed.
He did not say anything. Taylor simply looked at her while his smile gradually grew wider. After about two seconds, he suddenly kissed her; his hands were quickly around her waist!
The kiss was far more intense than earlier. It felt desperate, almost demanding Charlie’s every breath. Each sent shockwaves through her as if he was imprinting her with every press of his mouth.
Charlie kissed back, trying to meet Taylor’s needs, and in that moment, his fingers traced down to her hips. Taylor pulled her impossibly closer as their tongues continued to meet in a heated dance.
Instinctively, Charlie’s hands wrapped around his neck, her thighs tightened around him. As a result, Taylor groaned into the kiss. The warmth of his mouth, the teasing strokes, and the way he sucked on her lower lip before kissing her again left her wanting more.
Charlie could barely think or breathe. Nothing else mattered at that point, but like in every romance movie, all good kisses had to end. Otherwise, Charlie might just melt into him completely.
Taylor pulled away, taking deep breaths. As he gulped, his adam’s apple bobbed, his lips glistening.
His eyes still lingered on her lips, his forehead resting on hers, and his breath fanning her face. He ran his fingers through her golden hair, saying, “You are very addicting, Charlie King. I’m glad you are finally mine.”
An hour later, they were both getting ready to sleep. Charlie, in her pajamas, had slid into her bed when Taylor walked into her room, declaring, “I’m sleeping here.”
“What?” Charlie sat up, shocked. “No!”
Taylor raised both his hands, saying, “Babe, I promise. I’ll be a good boy.”
