At dawn, Sussie and I were already in front of the cave. It was exactly the way I had seen it in my visions. That power that called to me, everything was the exact same way I had seen it in my vision.

I felt Tiara stir up in excitement. There was a higher possibility that our mate laid inside.

“He needs us.” Tiara whined. “I can feel him.”

It was true. The bond between Eros and I have somehow gotten stronger in this close proximity. I could feel his presence.

Now I understood why I didn't feel a thing when others claimed Eros was killed. It was because he is still alive and not dead.

“What makes you think Eros is in here?” Sussie asked as we stood in front of the cave.

“I can feel him.” I said softly. “He's here.”

Without waiting for Sussie, I moved forward, entering the cave. As we went deeper, our footsteps echoed and I felt a strange sense of Deja vu grip me.

I shivered. Unlike in my vision, the cave was colder. Goosebumps rose on my skin, and I suddenly began to crave the warmth of the sunlight we left outside. But I couldn’t go back, not even if I was dying because my Eros was here.

I was a few feet away from the second enterance that led to the inner room when I was suddenly shoved from behind. Not expecting the push, I flew forward and landed on my palm and knees.

I winced in pain, and turned slowly to look at Sussie who had a wicked smirk on her lips.

I knew immediately that I had made a big mistake trusting her.

Before I could stand to my feet, Sussie reached into one side of the wall and pulled out an iron gate that I hadn’t noticed before. She locked me in.

My eyes widened in horror as I suddenly realized what she was doing. I scrambled to my feet and grabbed the iron bars of the gate in anger.

“You are such a snake.” I hissed in fury.

Sussie rolled her eyes and smacked her lips together. She slowly picked at her fingers and blew air from her lips at an invisible spec on it.

“This is your new home Eden. Welcome.” She said with a sickly sweet smile. “You are just in time for the next phase.”

“Let me out of here.” I banged furiously at the iron gate. It was made with thick iron rods that would take much more power than I could harness to pull it apart. “We had a deal.” I reminded her.

“Let you out?” Sussie chuckled. “Why? I thought you wanted to be with your mate? Look behind you, I have granted you your wish.”

I looked behind me, and true to her words, I saw the pool of water where Eros was buried in my dream.

Panic surged through me. How would we leave here even if I rescued Eros? Beside I brought Sussie to help me, not to work against me.

“I told you. I will ensure you live a life of luxury when Eros awakes and takes over.” I said desperately.

Sussie laughed, the sound reverberating through the cave.

Eros and I were trapped.

I left the enterance and hurried towards the water. I wasn’t sure how I would get Eros out.

I shivered, the temperature had dropped lower and I could see my breath puff out like smoke into the air. The water had begun to turn into ice, and I knew that Eros losing his powers was the cause of this.

Without hesitation, I jumped into the water like what I saw in my visions, I saw a huge ice ball with Eros in it. This time, he wasn't looking at me. His eyes were closed and he had begun to get pale.

He was dying.

Tiara panicked and I began to hit the ice with my claws. I dug into it with all my strength, clawing out pieces of ice away.

Tears pricked my eyes as they mixed with the water. Pain engulfed my chest as I realized that my efforts wouldn't amount to anything.

Furious at the world, the moon goddess, everyone, I began to hit the ice more furiously, lost in my anger. I was not prepared for the sudden current that hit me and pushed me away from the ice, forcing me deeper into the water.

I tried to swim my way back to the ice, but the water current pulled me far away from it.

I began to loose air, my eyes drifting close.

Maybe I was too late. I was going to die without saving Eros…
