Few days has passed since Nicole moved to Miami Florida. She loved the mansion Gabriel got for her

She had employees at her beck and call all thanks to him but she felt like she had accomplished nothing, none of the things she had now could give her true happiness like she had thought they would, well, what do they say? 'The rich also cry' so she guessed since she was now rich, not being able to be with Gabriel, the man she loved with her whole heart was her own reason to cry.

Nicole was by her pool side, lying on the deck chair with her eyes closed while having these thoughts. She wanted to get a tan so she was having a sun bathe when suddenly she didn't feel the ray of sunshine on her skin, she wondered what could've caused it so she opened her eyes and was shocked to see Gabriel standing there dressed casually, he was the cause of the sudden shade. What was he doing here? She thought because he just stood right in front of her without uttering a word. Nicole wouldn't lie to herself, she was excited about his presence but she wouldn't show it so instead she decided to put up a show

"Okay, what is it this time?.. Oh wait, don't tell me your grandparents want to meet with me since they couldn't make it to our wedding" Nicole sarcastically said

"Well if you're so eager to see them, we could travel back to New York and pay them a visit at their graveside" Gabriel drily replied. Nicole instantly felt ashamed

"I'm sorry" she quietly apologized

"It's okay. That happened a long time ago"

Gabriel couldn't help but stare at her body as she looked hot in a pink bikini

Seeing her body this exposed reminded him of their wedding night that was a day he would never forget. He forced himself to take his eyes away from her body to prevent him from getting aroused.

Nicole noticed Gabriel was now looking anywhere but her. Was he just going to stand here all day without saying why he was here? She wondered

"I need my wife back" Gabriel suddenly said breaking the silence between them

"You could've just called to let me know that my presence was needed for something important" Nicole replied

Gabriel didn't know how he was going to make her understand what he actually meant

"I need my wife back. This time for real not because of my parents or the public... Nicole I need you in my life" he confessed taking her by surprise

Nicole was shocked. Did Gabriel just say he needed her back? He didn't say he was in love with her but she didn't care because he just made her realize that she was important to him and that was more than enough for her. This was like a dream come true for her.

Gabriel could see the look of shock and confusion on Nicole's face. It was better this way, face the rejection and try to get over it even if it would take years for that to happen rather than stay back in New York and come to his own conclusions about Nicole's feelings or reaction.
