“What was that about?” Ollie asked Lark curiously.

“Oona took a video of her and Max having sex.” Lark made a disgusted face. “She’s wanting to extort money from him, or she releases it.”

Gracie looked at Lark curiously, “um, I have two questions to this. First, aren’t you pissed off about him having s*x with this Oona one and her having a video and second, does extortion happen a lot in your family? I’ve known you a week and this is the second time I’m hearing of this shit.”

Lark shrugged, “I think I’d be angry with him if I knew Max agreed to do the video, but this is a violation of his privacy. I am furious with her and if she were anywhere near me, she’d get an earful but in terms of him having s*x, Max was a bit of a w***e before he met me. I’m sure there is more than one video out there.”

“And we get blackmailed all the time. Our father was one of the first men to ever make billionaire status and Max was a billionaire in his own right at twenty-five from running three different businesses and being a silent investor to many of his friends from college. He owns part shares in at least twenty start-up companies from people he went to school with. Dad is a financial guru and honestly, I wouldn’t let anyone touch my money but him. He manages it all. Dad is really intuitive with money. He can take ten grand and turn it into a million in under six months. When you have as much money as our family does, everyone wants a piece of it. Max and I both let Dad oversee our finances which is why we’re as wealthy as we are. But it comes with a cost,” Ollie sighed, “it’s why for the most part we never travel without security, we live constantly with paparazzi following us and none of us have social media accounts which aren’t set to private. I think my ** account has twelve followers and all of them are either Hoffman or Villeneuves.”

Gracie nodded and then looked to Lark, “define man-w***e?”

“Oh, you’ll love this,” Mori snickered. “My brother in his infinite wisdom as a certified genius, thought Lark only liked him as a brother. He was in love with her but kept it such a secret he didn’t even tell Ollie or Johan and he told them everything.”

“He told all three of us everything and we got zero privacy from him.” Ollie nodded.

“He knew our periods better than we did,” Lark sighed. “This is the guy who has a boy experienced no trouble boldly telling us he needed to poop and giving us description of it and asking if we thought it was normal in texture, color or frequency,” Ollie made a gagging noise which Lark echoed, “but couldn’t tell us he was crushing on me.”

“You’re one to talk, Lark,” Fallon nudged her with her hip as they walked down the sidewalk towards the shop Ollie was bringing them to visit. “You kept no secrets from Max. Its why he knew when your periods were,” she snorted, “but telling him you caught feelings was taboo somehow.”

“Anyway,” Lark drew the word out long while glaring at her sister, “Max lived the motto the best way to get over someone was to get under someone new. He went through a lot of new girls in high school. I asked him recently about how many lovers he’s been with in his almost thirty years on this planet and the number was freaky. If you consider he started fooling around at fourteen, it’s crazy.”

“Crazy like hundreds of women?” Gracie asked.

“Eleven lovers, including Oona.”

Gracie frowned, “oh, I thought you were going to say ninety-nine or something. Eleven lovers in sixteen years for a man who looks like him and probably has women throwing themselves at him all the time, isn’t much.”

They all turned to stare at her incredulously.

“I bet most of them weren’t even actual intercourse. Probably just blow jobs.”

Their stares now coupled with jaws hanging open at Gracie’s words.

“Oh, come on,” Gracie laughed. “Am I wrong?”

“No,” Lark shook her head, “he told me he was with eleven lovers, eight of which were one-night stands but,” she held up her finger in protest, “he also had twenty-six blow jobs without intercourse involved and it’s not counted in the eleven total.

“Most of them in high school while he was thinking you liked him as a brother, right?” Gracie was laughing now at Lark’s indignation. “Come on Lark. The hottest guy in school would let the freak in school who didn’t shower or brush her teeth blow him if she asked. Teenage boys think of two things, s*x, and food,” she paused, “maybe three if they’re athletic and then football gets put into the mix.”

“How do you know so much about teenage boys?” Fallon frowned at Gracie.

“My dad has a new neighbor. Single mom with three teenage boys. I keep telling him to ask her out, but she’s overwhelmed with the boys, and he doesn’t know where to start. Nineteen, eighteen and sixteen and all three of them sneak girls in and out of their house like clockwork. Last weekend, Dad counted eight girls between the three of them while their poor mother was working double shifts as a nurse at the hospital.” She sneered, “I caught one of them looking into my bedroom window at Dad’s when I was changing my shirt. He probably spanked off to the memory for days.”

They roared with laughter at Gracie’s words. She was quickly settling in with them and having her be so open was a refreshing change to how uptight she’d been the night before.

Gracie jutted her chin in the distance, “isn’t that Nana Prue?”
