After hanging up, Brittany, with Daniel in tow, headed to the resort's bar. Ysabel was already there, surrounded by a group of friends, the place buzzing with excitement.

Daniel, the little social butterfly that he is, had already made friends with Ysabel's kids and jumped right into the fun as soon as they arrived.

Ysabel ordered Brittany a cocktail and said, "I heard Mr. Lynette set you up on a blind date?"

"You know about that?"

Brittany sighed, "I told my dad I'm not considering dating right now."

"It's not just me; word's gotten around."

Ysabel chuckled, "Enoch, he's no walk in the park."

"?"

Brittany didn't have much of an impression of Enoch but was curious, "What do you mean?"

"Your blind date with him fell through, right?"

"Yeah, he's been saying that I felt inferior and wasn't good enough for him."

Ysabel found Enoch's behavior distasteful. Whether Brittany was interested in him or not was one thing, but for him to go around announcing their business was something else.

Brittany frowned; she had thought Enoch was decent enough before this. She never even considered that set-up with Enoch. It was all her dad's doing. Brittany had no interest in Enoch whatsoever.

"He's not worth your time."

Ysabel believed that Brittany, even as a single mom, deserved the best man in the world. As for the Anderson family rumor, it was said that Enoch had announced that if Brittany really wanted to marry him, she'd have to send her kid away because he wasn't going to raise someone else's child. Ysabel couldn't be bothered with that nonsense.

"Let's drop the Enoch topic."

"Weren't you interested in that piece of land near the resort? Some mystery buyer got it, and now it's set for demolition."

Ysabel found it a pity since that land was supposed to be part of a major government development project.

"A mystery buyer you hadn't heard of?"

The woman in Enoch's arms cooed, "Enoch, if you married Ms. Lynette, would you leave me?"

"Brittany can't compare to you," Enoch said, slapping her rear end playfully. "A 'second-hand' woman like that couldn't possibly satisfy you in bed!"

Laughter filled the room.

From the shadows, a pair of cold eyes watched Enoch, filled with disdain.

After drinking too much, Enoch stumbled to the restroom, humming a tune and fumbling with his zipper.

Suddenly, hands grabbed his shoulders, and Enoch snapped, "Dude, back off!"

In the next instant, there was a snap. Enoch's shoulder was dislocated before he could even scream, followed by two punches that knocked him out cold.

Isaac quickly dealt with Enoch, dumping him into a toilet stall and washing his hands before striding away. Brittany was his to protect, not for others to slander and covet.

Enoch's friends, wondering why he hadn't returned, found him unconscious in the toilet stall!
