Isaac rushed down the stairs, carrying Brittany in his arms. 

Emily spotted the blood on the stairs, freaking out. She immediately notified Grace Salter and followed Isaac. 

Brittany was barely conscious. She bit her lip hard, her eyebrows knitted together in obvious pain. 

Isaac’s hand that held her was shaking. 

He never thought he would do something like that to Brittany. He carefully wiped the cold sweat from her forehead and kissed it, “I’m sorry, Bri. I lost my mind. I’m sorry..” 

Brittany’s ears were buzzing. She tried to break free from his arms but found herself too weak to move. 

Isaac’s eyes turned red. “Drive faster!” he yelled at the driver. 

The driver stepped on the gas and headed straight for the hospital. 

What was normally an hour’s drive was cut down to thirty minutes. Once they arrived at the hospital, Isaac rushed in, carrying a bloody Brittany. 

The doctor was already waiting outside the door. 

Seeing Brittany covered in blood, the doctor gasped and quickly wheeled her on a stretcher into the emergency room. 

Isaac stood outside the emergency room, looking down at his bloodied hands. It was Brittany’s blood. 

He couldn’t bear to think of what he had done. He raised his hand and slapped himself twice. He didn’t feel the pain in his cheek. It felt like a chunk of flesh had been ripped from his heart; the pain was unbearable! 

Grace rushed to the emergency room as soon as she got the news. Seeing Isaac covered in blood, she almost fainted. 

“Zac, what happened?” 

Why are they suddenly at the hospital? 

Isaac stood rigid, staring straight at the emergency room door, not saying a word. 

Getting no answer from Isaac, Grace turned to Emily 

Emily quickly explained what happened Grace looked shocked, “Zac, how could you do this to her? She’s pregnant!” 

Isaac stood motionless. Faced with Grace’s questioning, he couldn’t say a word. 

Emily, concerned about Grace’s health, tried to calm her down. 

When the Chester family received the news, they rushed over. Seeing the blood on Isaac, Hannah Chester pushed him hard, “Isaac, what the hell did you do? Do you know she’s pregnant? How could you do this to her?” 

With that push, Isaac hit the wall. His head felt like it was being blown apart; the pain was intensel 

Hannah wanted to hit him again but was held back by Lionel Chester, “Hannah, calm down.” 

“How can I calm down?” Hannah’s eyes were red with anger, “That’s my best friend! They bullied Bri! They’ve gone too far 

Lionel looked grim, but at that moment, Brittany was the priority, not arguing! 

After about half an hour, the light in the emergency room went off, and the doctor came out. Isaac immediately stood up and asked, “How is she?” The doctor looked a bit strange, “Mr. Salter, please come with me.” 

Isaac’s heart fluttered, ‘Is there a problem?” 

The doctor led Isaac into the emergency room, and after making sure no one else was around, he said, “Mr. Salter, based on her current condition, Mrs. Salter’s baby can’t be saved” 

The baby can’t be saved? 

A roaring sound echoed in Isaac’s ears, “Why?”
