Brittany knew he wouldn’t back down easily. Her lips tightened, “Please leave.” 

They had a standoff for a bit, but eventually, Isaac backed out. 

Brittany had stayed in the hospital for nearly a week. Daniel visited a few times during that time, each visit lasting no more than two 

hours. 

Isaac practically made the hospital his home and was guarding Brittany all the time. 

After seeing off Daniel, Brittany felt restless. 

She called her assistant, asking for a change of clothes before heading to the bathroom. 

Brittany’s hospitalization caused quite a stir. Her assistant was here in no time. 

When the assistant opened the door to the ward, she saw Isaac instead of Brittany. 

She was taken aback. 

“Mr. Salter, what are you doing here?” 

Isaac closed the files in his hand, “Put the stuff down and you can leave.” 

The assistant didn’t dare to ask more questions. She put down the stuff and left. 

Brittany took a warm shower. Her days in the hospital had let her lose so much weight. 

All news related to the Dillion family was blocked so Brittany couldn’t get any information about the Dilljón family. She needed to pay them a visit in person. 

Hearing the conversation, she opened the door. 

Isaac was holding her clothes, “You’re going out?” 

Brittany took the clothes, her lips twitched, “So, Mr. Salter, you still want to control my movements?” 

Isaac’s face changed instantly. 

Clearly, their pain stemmed from what happened five years ago. 

Brittany took the clothes and headed to the bathroom. 

The assistant didn’t have the key to her house. 

The clothes were new and they fit her perfectly. 

She changed into the clothes but was stopped by Isaac when she came out. 

“You’re going to the Dillion family?” He asked. 

“Of course.” Brittany was clearly displeased that he blocked her way, “The Dillion family has been affected because of me; shouldn’t I go 

and check on them?” 

“I’ll go with you.” 

Right now, the people of the Dillion family hated Brittany to the bone. If she went alone, they might tear her to pieces! 

“No need.” Brittany stepped back, “Isaac, we’re done. What happens with the Dillion family is none of your business.” 

Isaac instinctively tightened his grip on her hand, his voice hoarse, “We’re not done.” 

There was never an end between them, and there never would be! 

Brittany pulled her hand away, put on her heels, and left. 

Isaac stood there silently for a long time. 

A week later, Brittany showed up at the Dillion family again. 

Timothy and Tracy Dillion weren’t there so Olivia was the first to confront her. Her eyes filled with resentment, “Brittany, how dare you show up? Now you’ve ruined my wedding, are you satisfied?” 

Brittany stood straight. 

The more Olivia thought about it, the angrier she got. She thus tried to attack Brittany.
