Mia shook her head, “Ms. Dustin didn’t ask me about it.” 

Maybe it was because she didn’t even know. 

The previous nanny was pretty good, but it was always more reassuring to use someone from your own team. 

Mia turned around and left. 

Over the next few days, Joseph approached Brittany several times, expressing his desire to buy Bri-jeweled Studio. 

Brittany was having none of it, “Mr. Joseph, Bri-jeweled Studio is my baby. I don’t have any plans to sell it right now. We can talk about a possible collaboration, but if shares are involved, I’m afraid we’re not on the same page.” 

Despite being a bit strapped for cash, she had no intention of selling Bri-jeweled Studio. 

Joseph was rebuffed, but instead of being pissed, he actually cracked a rare smile, “Ms. Dustin, I get where you’re coming from. We’re both business people, so let’s not be so absolute. I’ll wait for you to change your mind.” 

After Joseph left, Kari walked in, “Brittany, Mr. Joseph has been here quite a few times. Are they really trying to buy Bri-jeweled Studio?” 

Kari didn’t want to see Bri-jeweled Studio sold either. It was her blood, sweat, and tears. 

Brittany leaned back on the leather couch, “Aren’t you supposed to be on vacation?” 

Kari’s holiday was not yet over. Brittany didn’t want it to affect her so she hadn’t told her about this. 

“Brittany, the studio is about to be bought out, and you expect me to go gallivanting around?” Kari made a face, “What are we gonna do 

now?” 

“We need to be careful for a while, and not give the Palmer family any leverage.” 

The Palmer family had a bad rep in the industry. 

They always targeted studios or brands they liked, then invested in them. Then they would gradually engulf all the rest businesses over time. 

Brittany was worried Joseph would pull the same stunt. 

“I got it.” Kari said. 

After discussing work, Kari let out an unnatural cough, “Brittany, I might start dating soon.” 

“Really?” Brittany’s interest was piqued, “That’s great! What’s the guy like? What does he do? Is he good looking?” 

Kari’s eyes were full of anticipation, “Brittany, you promise you won’t get mad?” 

She knew things between Brittany and Isaac had been tense. 

She didn’t want to have too much to do with Nathan, but she couldn’t control her feelings. Nathan had left a deep impression on her

“Why would I get mad? It’s a good thing! I should be happy for you!” Brittany was puzzled.

Kari was taken aback, “Huh, Brittany, you’re not mad?” 

“Why would I be mad? Nathan was treated well by Isaac; he’s a good guy. It’s a good thing you two are together.” 

Brittany had suspected something might be going on between them, and it turned out to be true.
