“Alright then.” 

Brittany watched William leave, then hopped in her car to head towards the Dustin Group. 

As soon as she arrived at the office, her secretary informed her that the Palmer family had been snooping around again. 

Joseph Palmer had decided he wanted to take over Brittany’s company, and had been a thorn in her side lately, his attitude becoming increasingly threatening. 

Brittany knew better than anyone that Joseph wouldn’t back down easily. She had to stay on her toes. 

Back in her office, someone from the finance department showed up. 

“Ms. Dustin, about that H city project you mentioned earlier, we’ve crunched the numbers. We’re good to go.” 

“Alright then.” 

The H city project was something Brittany had been eyeing for a while. 

The project had its fair share of disputes, which hadn’t been resolved until then. 

After some discussion, they concluded that the project was worth investing in. 

Brittany buzzed her secretary. “Notify the deputy general manager and all the managers in the PR department. We’re heading to H city first thing tomorrow morning. You handle the flight bookings.” 

Her secretary quickly arranged the tickets and the itinerary. 

By the time Brittany finished her work, it was already 11 at night. 

Even though there was a rest area in the office, she decided to head home considering she had to travel the next day. 

When she got home, Daniel was already asleep. 

Mia, who was looking after Daniel, had clocked out for the day as well. 

Brittany turned on the light and bent down to change her shoes. 

“Why are you coming home so late?” 

Brittany nearly jumped out of her skin. Looking up, she saw Isaac standing in the hallway, looking pissed. 

“What are you doing here?” 

Brittany frowned. She could’ve sworn they had broken up. What was he doing there? 

“If I wasn’t here, who would’ve taken care of Daniel after Mia left?” 

Isaac was wearing a black shirt and his handsome face then filled with gloom. 

“You were out dining and chatting with William until now. Did you even consider how that would make the kid feel?” 

Isaac sounded like he was in pain. He couldn’t bear to see her getting so close to William. 

Brittany’s fingers tightened. A flicker of disgust passed through her eyes. 

“How did you know I met with William? Were you stalking me?”
