Brittany hung up on Daniel, ready to hit the hay. A knock came at the door. 

She opened it to find Mr. Leo. 

“Ms. Dustin, are you free tomorrow?” Leo Martinez looked like he just got back; his white shirt was buttoned up to the top, radiating a noble vibe. 

“Mr. Leo, is there an issue with the contract?” 

“No, not at all.” Leo shook his head. “Actually, there’s a dinner tomorrow, and I’d like you to come with me. This dinner is quite important. It’s technically a business banquet but actually a charity auction, and I need a lady friend.” Leo seemed a bit embarrassed. “If you feel offended by my proposal, just forget I mentioned anything.” 

“An auction?” 

Leo handed her a booklet detailing the items up for auction and replied, “Yes.” 

“Ms. Dustin, take a look at the booklet, see if there’s something you fancy.” 

Brittany flipped through the booklet. All items at the auction were rare collectibles. One pink diamond caught Brittany’s attention. 

Kari Malone had a thing for pink diamonds. Her relationship with Nathan was pretty solid, and they were probably tying the knot soon. 

If she could get the pink diamond and give it to her as a wedding gift, that would be grand. 

“Mr. Leo, I’m available.” 

Brittany made up her mind and answered. 

Leo was pleased to see her agree, “See you tomorrow then.” 

Brittany bid Leo goodbye, yawned, went back to her room, and crashed. 

Early next morning, Leo went to pick up Brittany. 

The dinner started at 6 p.m. They had official business to discuss during the day, so they headed to Martinez Corporation. 

After signing the letter of intent, they chatted about future collaborations and had a blast. 

As they were chatting past 1 p.m., Leo’s secretary reminded them that it was time to eat. 

Leo suddenly realized and said, “Ms. Dustin, I totally forgot about lunch. I’ll make a reservation at a restaurant right away. We can head to the dinner after eating.” 

“Mr. Leo, you’re too kind. How about we check out the canteen?” 

Leo was a great partner, and Brittany enjoyed chatting with him, feeling closer to him. 

But Leo insisted, booked a restaurant, and took Brittany there. 

They left the company one after the other and walked into the restaurant. 

Brittany then realized that this was a renowned upscale restaurant in H city, with very exquisite dishes. 

They chatted while eating until it was past 3 p.m. 

Brittany returned to the hotel, finding the stylist had been waiting for a while. 

Leo, on the other hand, went back to his suite, dealing with work until 5 p.m. 

Leo got up and knocked on Brittany’s door. 

As the door opened, Brittany stepped out of the room. 

Leo looked up and was dazzled. 

Brittany was wearing a blue eyéning dress. Her smooth skin was even more striking under the dress. 

The dress was slit high, revealing a pair of smooth, straight legs, and she was wearing silver high heels. She looked like a princess out of a fairy tale. 

Her hair was pulled back and secured with a ribbon, a strand of hair falling down, very casual. 

Leo had seen many beauties, but Brittany’s type of beauty was really rare. She was breathtakingly beautiful. 

She turned around, and Leo saw that the dress was uniquely designed, with a hollow-out style in the back, showing a slender waist and beautiful shoulder blades. 

Leo cleared his throat and somewhat awkwardly said, “Ms. Dustin, you look stunning today.” 

Brittany gave a small smile and said, “Let’s go, Mr. Leo.” 

She bought the evening dress a while ago but never had the chance to wear it. Then it finally came in handy.
