Brittany was still in a daze as she nodded. “Yeah, an employee at the studio is going on leave, so we had a farewell dinner.” 

As the boss, she couldn’t refuse. 

Isaac got out of bed, swept her up in his arms, and laid her down on the bed. 

His injuries were almost healed, but the doctor recommended more rest, so he hadn’t left the hospital yet. 

Brittany was still worried about his health. “You’re not fully recovered…” 

Isaac interrupted her with a soft hum as he leaned in to capture her lips. “I’m much better.” 

He was even ready to be discharged from the hospital. 

Brittany had had a bit too much to drink. Her cheeks were flushed, and she was too tipsy to resist Isaac’s advances. 

After a while, Isaac was getting carried away. His hand was resting on her waist, and his eyes were glowing with desire. “Bri, I want you.” He had been waiting for over five years. It was torture to see her every day but not be able to touch her. 

Brittany refused. “Wait till you’re discharged.” 

Isaac had always been dominant. Five years had passed, but his dominance hadn’t changed. It was just better concealed now. 

He seemingly agreed, but continued to pester Brittany. She was no stranger to his ways, and soon she was too dazed to resist his advances. 

She was initially worried about Isaac’s health, but he proved with his actions that he was fully recovered. 

Brittany was almost undone. 

When she woke the next day, she was enveloped in warmth. A tall, muscular man had his arm wrapped around her waist, making it difficult for her to move. 

This familiar moment left Brittany slightly dazed. She leaned in, disregarding the aches in her body. Isaac’s skin was in great condition. It was as smooth as a peeled egg. His face was picture-perfect. She reached out, touching his nose and gently squeezing it. 

The next second, Isaac grabbed her hand, brought it to his lips, and kissed it. “Awake now?” 

Brittany hummed in response. “When did you arrange for your discharge?” 

She just found this wasn’t the hospital. It was the house they had bought previously. 

“Last night.” Isaac nipped at her lips. “You were sleeping, so I brought you back here.” 

Remembering how she fell asleep last night, Brittany instinctively gave his waist a twist. “Shut up.” 

He was well-built, and his waist was hard. It ended up hurting Brittany’s fingers. 

He held her hand, gently rubbing it. “What do you feel like eating? I’ll prepare it.” 

“Whatever.” Brittany was indeed exhausted from last night, and her stomach was growling. 

Isaac kissed her lips, got out of bed, dressed up, and headed for the kitchen. 

Brittany was too tired to get up and decided to surrender. 

Around half an hour later, Isaac came back with a tray of food. After seeing Brittany’s drowsy look, he raised an eyebrow. “Time to eat.” Brittany responded while barely sitting up. “Feed me.” 

Isaac happily obliged. He sat by the bed, feeding her spoonfuls of porridge and bites of food. Brittany was indeed hungry, and she ate two bowls of porridge before she was satisfied.
