Inside the car, the two of them fell into silence. It was quiet. 

The car eventually pulled up at the gate of the Flanagan family’s villa Allison got out, and the man watched her figure gradually disappear through the car window. The driver didn’t dare to start the car, unable to fathom Mr. Lindbergh’s thoughts. Mr. Lindbergh always said he didn’t like Ms. Zimmer, but

Lucian withdrew his gaze. 

“Drive,” he said casually 

“Yes, sir.” 

“Mr. Lindbergh, are we heading back to the Lindbergh family mansion or to Magnolia Gardens?” 

“Magnolia Gardens” 

They came to a red light, and the car stopped. Lucian’s phone rang. He glanced at it and saw that it was Jason calling. 

He answered, “Hello?” 

“Bro, did you drop Allison off?” Before Lucian could respond, he heard Jason mumble, “I tried calling her, but she didn’t answer.” 

Lucians voice was firm: “Do you have a thing for Allison?” 

“Bro, is it really that obvious? The first time I met Allison was in my sophomore year; she was a freshman just starting school. I thought she was different from everyone else from the get–go. So many girls chase after me, envy my status, and want to get something out of me. But Allison is different. I chased after her, and she didn’t even give me the time of day” 

Lucian frowned slightly. This was not what he had gathered from his research. 

*Jason, are you sure about this Allison you’re seeing?” He was worried that Jason was being played. 

Allison was not as innocent as she appeared. 

If she truly was, why would she go out of her way to get close to him, attract his attention, or even resort to underhanded tactics like drugging him and sleeping with him? 

What Lucian loathed most was this kind of behavior. Thinking about it made his eyes narrow harshly. 

“Jason, does mom know about this?” 

“You know how mom is; she wants me to marry some high–born lady, so of course she doesn’t approve of me being with Allison.” 

Lucian replied, “Her judgement is usually on point 

“So you think the same?” 

“Jason, you’re young and inexperienced. This Allison is not as simple as you think.” 

“Bro. I know Allison” 

“Know? How much do you know about a maid from the Flanagan family? Do you know what her family background is like?” 

Jason was left speechless 

“Jason, Allison, a woman with such cunning, is not for you” 

There was a pause, then Jason said, “Lucian, I know you mean well, but I really like Allison.” 

Lucian hadn’t expected this. Allison had really ensnared his brother.
