Chapter 271 

“Grace, I found you a spacious place to live, and I even arranged for a better doctor to check you out. Whatever I owe you, I’ll repay you” Christopher said. Maybe that could give him some peace. 

“No need, I don’t wanna see you guys ever again” Grace said. 

Christopher wanted to say more, “Grace, is Allison ours…” 

Grace didn’t answer his question. She just stared straight at Christopher, then she called out, “Allison.” 

Allison pushed the door open, glanced at Christopher, and then walked up to her mother. She led her mother away. 

After Allison and Grace left, Christopher sighed softly. His assistant walked in, “Mr. Flanagan,” 

“Nash, I’ve been in quite a mess these past few years” Christopher said. 

Nash of course knew about it. Christopher had been in pain ever since Joshua and Ricky’s car accident. 

Christopher seemed to age even more. He initially thought that seeing Grace and having a chat would soothe his heart a bit. 

He knew that Grace had always held a grudge against him. After he graduated from college, he wanted to start a business. Leah’s family was pretty well–off, and she always supported him. 

Little by little, he developed selfish desires. He liked Grace, but then a girl who looked a bit like Grace and came from a wealthier family appeared. Naturally, his heart leaned towards her. 

He broke up with Grace and got together with Leah. But he didn’t know at the time that Grace and Leah were distant relatives. 

On his wedding to Leah, Grace was also there. He never wanted to recall that scene again. 

After his marriage, he couldn’t forget about Grace. Even though Leah and Grace looked alike, their personalities were different. He liked the innocent and kind–hearted Grace. 

Up until now, he had lived half of his life. There were three things he dared not recall. 

First, the way Grace looked at him at his wedding to Leah. 

Second, the day before Grace married Joshua, she came to find him. Her eyes seemed to say that if he said no, she could call off the wedding. But he lowered his head. 

Third, Joshua and Ricky died for him. 

He felt guilty towards her, but a man couldn’t be controlled by a woman. He was also weak. He relied on Leah’s family to start a business and made 

money 

Allison took Grace to the hospital for a check–up, today’s doctor was Dr. Dylan, She walked into the consulting room with the registration form, and was taken aback. 

Dr. Dylan looked up and pushed his glasses up. The sunlight came in from the window behind him, making his clothes shine. 

Grace said, “Dr. Dylan, are you on shift today?” 

Dr. Dylan stood up. “Sit down, have you been feeling unwell recently?” 

I’m actually fine. It’s just that Allison is not at ease and insists on bringing me for a check–up. I don’t want to. It’s gonna cost a fortune.” Grace said. 

Dr. Dylan wrote a few tests, then handed them to Allison, “Go to the second floor for blood and urine tests first. There should be no wait time now. Some ultrasound tests might require waiting. Check the results with me in the afternoon. Your mom doesn’t need to come. She’ll be better off resting at home.” Grace smiled, “Thank you, Dr. Dylan.” 

Allison also said softly. “Thank you.”
