The butler locked Lucky in a storage room, “Chill out, pup. That’s Ms. Flanagan. She might be your owner someday.” 

Lucky saw the butler but didn’t make a peep, just lay there on the ground. 

The butler chuckled, “Why the sudden mood swing? You’re usually not like this with others.” 

Lucky’s tail wagged without much interest. 

The butler brought some dog food and a can, feeding the dog. Mr. Lindberg had raised the pet for three years, and he loved it a lot. Ordinarily, it would live with Mr. Lindberg in Magnolia Gardens. 

Lucian came out from the balcony, catching Penelope’s words. He walked over, hands in pockets 

His gaze fell on the necklace around Penelope’s neck, an ordinary necklace. He frowned slightly as if realizing something, his handsome face as cold as 

ever. 

Penelope didn’t notice anything, she continued to absentmindedly touch the necklace around her neck, but it didn’t attract any attention.

“Penelope Lucian turned to look at her, his gaze falling on the necklace around her neck, “You look pretty today”

The red light ahead, the car stopped. 

The corner of Lucian’s mouth lifted, but his eyes were filled with mixed emotions, “It’s nice.”
