Chapter 321

Allison and Payton booked a private room together. Allison worked here as a waitress, serving other customers. Now, she was enjoying a night off and being served instead.

Payton ordered three bottles of booze and was sipping slowly, one glass at a time. Seeing her like this, Allison walked over and grabbed a bottle. She popped the cap, and said, “Drinking alone is no fun. Let me join you!

Payton was from a well off family. Her only reason for being here was to find a guy named Arthur. This had led to countless arguments with her parents. They thought she had gone mad

She had become obsessed all because of a man.

“I’ve been looking for him for so long. The year he left, I thought he’d come back soon. He deleted all his contacts when he left. He said he’d come back in five years, but I haven’t heard anything else. Five years have passed, and he hasn’t returned. I’ve tried to contact all his friends, but couldn’t find him. I have no news of him. I don’t even know if he is alive” Payton said

Payton was drunk, sitting on the carpet. Her eyes were red, staring blankly in one direction. In her mind, the figure of that man emerged, “I saw him today.” Allison sat next to Payton, both of them sitting on the carpet, leaning against the sofa. She understood how Payton felt. Empty words of comfort were useless, better to just get drunk.

She clinked her beer bottle against Payton’s and said, “A few days ago, I also met someone who looks just like my brother. I grew up in a small town, when I was a teenager, there was an earthquake. My grandmother died, and I went to live with my mom. My mother was a housekeeper for a rich family I had a brother who was really nice to me. When I first arrived at my new home, I was nervous and scared. Dad was busy all the time, and mom was managing everything at home, so it was just me and my brother Later, my father and brother died in a car accident”

Allison’s voice was a bit husky, and her throat choked up towards the end. She took a sip of her beer, “Later, I saw a guy who looked exactly like my brother But other than the resemblance, everything else, like his personality, was completely different He didn’t recognize me i thought maybe I was mistaken, but how can there be two people in the world who look so similar?”

That night, in the private room, the two women poured out their hearts, drinking and eventually falling asleep on the sofa in the wee hours.

Just before Allison passed out, she thought, if she ever ran into Nicholas again, she would throw caution to the wind. Even if it meant sacrificing her dignity she’d rip open his shirt to see if he had a red mole on his chest

if it really wasn’t her brother, she could finally let go of this worry, save up some money, and leave Northfield with her mother.

Could there really be such a coincidence in the world?

Two identical faces…

Late at night.

The Mansion.

Arthur sat at his desk. A subordinate handed him a file, “Sir, this is the information about the woman you met in the underground garage tonight. Please

take a look.”

He took the brown paper bag, waved his hand, and his assistant immediately stepped aside. He opened the bag, and a clear front-facing photo of a woman fell out. He picked it up, read her name. “Payton.”

Then he started reading her file, including her family background and her current school.

“Red Jack Club is hiring students now??” Arthur asked, “Who is her manager?”

“A woman named Sarah” His assistant asked tentatively. “Sir, do you want me to tell Samuel to fire this student?”

Arthur put down the file in his hand. He rubbed his eyebrows, “I remember this name. Did I know her before?”

The assistant approached, ‘Sir, do you have a headache?”
