Allison was holding the car keys, clueless about what to do. Were they a gift from Lucian? She heard the chatter of a few young men behind her and felt quite surprised.

At the card table, four guys were sitting together. A new round started almost immediately. 

Lucian was lounging on a leather sofa. He had had a bit to drink, was feeling a bit tipsy and unwell, so he decided to close his eyes for a few minutes. He raised his hand and massaged his temples. 

Suddenly a whiff of rose perfume wafted over. He frowned, opened his eyes, and saw a lady in a white off-shoulder dress sitting next to him. Her face flushed, she said, “Luca, Im Jessica. Do you have a headache? I’ve got some lemon water. Want some?” 

“No thanks, Jessica.” He rejected her casually. 

Seeing Lucian paying no attention to her, Jessica bit her lip. She knew Luca was engaged, but so what? As long as they werent married yet, she still had a shot. She was Issac’s girlfriend. She had heard that Luca was coming to the gathering, so she hurriedly tagged along. She had mustered up her courage just to exchange a few words with Luca. 

“So Luca, would you like some fruit?” Jessica asked 

He didnt respond. 

Jessica gazed at his handsome profile. Under the crystal chandelier, his face looked extraordinarily attractive. His high, straight nose seemed like God’s most meticulously carved masterpiece.

But the man completely ignored her, just as cold as the rumors suggested. Disheartened, Jessica got up and walked over to the other side, her chat with friends. Every now and then, she wouls glance at Lucian’s profile, her eyes filled with a sense of

Allison walked over and gently placed the car keys on the table, ready to take the tray and leave the private room. She just bent down to do this, and before she could put the keys down, a male voice rang out. 

His tone was still calm, “If I gave them to you, you keep them” 

Allison was startled by his sudden comment. She looked at Lucian and found him with his eyes still closed. Could this man’s hearing be so sharp that he could even hear the sound of her putting down the keys? 

She held the keys, “I don’t need something this valuable. 

Then throw it away” Lucian said. 

After a couple of seconds, he spoke again, “Can you give massages?” Without waiting for her answer, Lucian continued with his eyes still closed, “Massage me. I have a headache.”
