This morning, Allison had a face-off scene shoot with Sadie at Northern Park. 

The assistant director, Conrad, was in charge of this shoot. Though Conrad and Mr. Simonds were as different as chalk and cheese and didn’t get along, they were both go-to guys for director Cathy. 

The character Allison played in the drama, Olivia, was Sadie’s good friend, but her presence in the storyline was quite low-key. 

Allison had three more days left on her shooting schedule. Even though she didn’t have many scenes, she showed up on set every day like clockwork. She was always prepared, even for the smallest scenes and lines. She’d never caused a delay in shooting due to her own mistakes. She could even recite her co-star’s lines. Except for NGS caused by external factors like camera angles, she generally 

nailed it in one take. 

Sadie didn’t show up late today. At 9 a.m. sharp, her trailer pulled up at the entrance of Northern Park. 

The park was cordoned off for the shoot. Despite Northern Park being à hotspot for tourists who were snapping pictures and filming videos, they didn’t mind the disturbance. Sadie and Allison weren’t big names, but the drama was Cathy’s work, and that was enough to catch the audience’s attention. 

Sadie’s popularity had been on the rise since she landed Cathy’s teen movie lead role. The day they announced her role, her social media followers shot up by half a million. She posted selfies and videos every week, and now her social media followers had crossed a million. Everyone was anticipating the release of the film, hoping for a box office hit. 

As soon as Sadie stepped out of the trailer, she shielded her forehead with her hand. “It’s so sunny, Emma. Can’t you hold the umbrella’ properly?” 

Emma immediately adjusted the umbrella. 

As Sadie entered the park, everyone was ready to begin the day’s work. Emma handed her the script, with her lines highlighted in light pink. Sadie, who had had a late night, yawned and just glanced over the lines. 

Seeing Sadie, Conrad said, “Wow, you’re not late for once. That’s a rare sight.” 

Sadie, who had just graduated from school, was used to bantering with men. “Mr. Conrad, you make it sound like I’m late every day.” She was pretty and flirty, which made her popular with guys. Though Sadie was occasionally late, it hadn’t raised any eyebrows, thanks to the backing of powerful investors. Conrad, as an assistant director, chose to turn a blind eye to her tardiness. 

– Moreover, Sadie was extremely beautiful, and men had an extra soft spot for pretty girls. 

“Alright, get to learning your lines. We start in fifteen minutes,” Conrad said, then turned to look at Allison, chatting with the crew without a script in her hand, which made him frown. He didn’t know much about Allison, just that she had few scenes and was mostly directed by Mr. Simonds.
