“Charlotte, riding on the coattails of her grandfather’s casual remarks and her ties to the Ravensong family board, has always paraded around Lysander like she’s already won him over. But has Lysander ever given her the time of day? And Faye, who has secretly pined for Lysander for a decade and stuck by his side for years-if Lysander had any interest in her, do you think she’d have been let go so easily?” Ethan challenged. 

“And how do you know Faye hasn’t been in Lysander’s bed? How can you be certain that Lysander fired her not because she compromised his company’s interests? Or maybe Lysander just got bored of her,” Thalassa asked with a calm demeanor. 

Lysander was a man who prioritized his interests above all else. If anyone threatened those, he’d cut ties without a second thought, regardless of past affections.

Thalassa was at a loss for words. 

Calling her ‘Your Highness,’ Ethan must have been really spooked.
