The moment Thalassa heard it, her nerves instantly tensed up. Could it be that Hertha was coming with the kids?

Thalassa quickly said, "You must be hearing things, none of us heard anything."

"Really? I swear I heard it clear as day," Alaric said. He then stood up and walked towards the exit.

Seeing Alaric heading out, Thalassa was about to stop him, but it was too late. He reached the door and leaned out to look.

Hertha was taken aback, not quite sure how to respond. She was organizing her thoughts to answer when Kimberly and Ashton each picked up a child.

Kimberly, with a face full of affection, told Helena in her arms, "Grandpa is your mommy's daddy, and Grandma is your mommy's mommy."

"Why does mommy have a daddy, and me and brother don't have one?" Helena's beautiful eyes looked up at Kimberly, filled with innocent curiosity.
