"You don’t owe me anything." After struggling to piece her words together, that was the only statement she could muster, unable to find any reason to back up her claim.

"The day I woke up, it wasn’t your choice to leave, but my grandfather who asked you to go. Why didn’t you tell me?" Lysander, seemingly ignoring her defense, continued to press.

"But weren’t you two already engaged?" Thalassa asked anxiously. Even if the engagement was arranged by others, the closeness between Lysander and Rosalind seemed real, didn’t it?
