Thalassa lay back down, her mind racing back to the events that led her here.

"Was it a car crash? Did the person responsible run off?" Thalassa asked anxiously.

Hertha replied with a hint of regret, "No, it was Alaric. He's out grabbing dinner for us as a way to make amends."

Alaric's face lit up with relief at her words, and he gratefully glanced back at Hertha.

Moved by Thalassa's kindness, Hertha's eyes filled with tears. She knew Thalassa was the most compassionate person around.

"Go freshen up. I'll stay with Thalassa," Hertha said to Alaric, her tone much softer after Thalassa's forgiveness. She had initially taken a hard stance on Alaric to protect Thalassa's feelings, knowing deep down Thalassa would have found it difficult not to forgive him.

Now that Thalassa had voiced her forgiveness, there was no need for Hertha to be harsh anymore.

Alaric, overjoyed by the turn of events, promised, "I'll be right back."
