She nodded, her voice filled with hope, "Alright, I'll wait another year. After a year, I can see them."

"When we have a moment, maybe on a school open day, I'll take you to see them," Lysander finally relented, sensing the depth of Thalassa's longing for the children.

"Really?" Thalassa’s face lit up with surprise and delight as she looked at Lysander.

Gently ruffling her hair, Lysander spoke warmly, "Of course, it's true."

Though visiting the children would require Zephyr's consent, and he had to convince Zephyr to let Thalassa go, he couldn't bear to see her in such distress.

He was determined to make it happen.

"Fantastic!" Thalassa beamed, suddenly filled with a new energy.

Sitting up, she smiled at Lysander, "Let’s get up and have some dinner, shall we?"

With that, she quickly got out of bed, moving to Lysander's side to help him up, but before she could start, she saw Lysander moving his legs, already sitting on the edge of the bed.

Thalassa felt a bit awkward, unsure of what to do next.

Lysander glanced at her, raising an eyebrow, "Could you move aside a bit?"

"Huh?" Thalassa, puzzled, didn't catch his drift at first.

He nodded towards something behind her, and turning around, she saw the wheelchair, realizing what he meant. She was about to pull the wheelchair closer when Lysander said, "No need, I've got this."

Thalassa's hand stopped midway, pulling back as she stepped aside to let him through.

Thalassa couldn't help but admire Lysander's inner strength, yet she could imagine the devastating impact of those five minutes on him.

Caught in her thoughts, Thalassa snapped back to reality as she saw Lysander pushing his wheelchair forward. Quickly catching up, she offered with a cheerful tone, "Let me push you."

Without a word, Lysander allowed her to take the handles of the wheelchair.

Together, they took the elevator down to the ground floor, where they found Fitch instructing a servant. Mid-sentence, he noticed Thalassa and Lysander, immediately halting his conversation to approach Lysander respectfully, "Lysander, the kitchen has prepared the meal. Shall I have it served now?"

Lysander gave him a measured look before responding, "What do you think?"

Fitch, momentarily taken aback, quickly replied, "Right away, I'll see to it."
