The next day at work, Hertha couldn't wait to vent to Thalassa about Alaric.

"I just can't deal with his privileged attitude anymore! Saying he's spoiled and clueless about real life is an understatement!"

Thinking back to her conversation with Alaric yesterday still made Hertha's blood boil. It felt like there was something stuck in her chest, making it hard to breathe. She was absolutely livid.

Thalassa, concerned, asked, "How's Alaric doing now?"

"Don't worry, he won't die from it," Hertha replied, still visibly fuming.

"Come on, you're friends, don't be like this," Thalassa tried to soothe her.

Hertha shared her resolve to make things right with Alaric, telling Thalassa all about it. Thalassa was well aware of the current dynamics between Hertha and Alaric.

"Thank goodness you're just friends. Living with someone whose lifestyle is worlds apart from yours would be a real nightmare," Hertha said, as if she'd just uncovered some profound truth.

She told Thalassa all about the previous day's events.

"He woke up all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, went to the kitchen to help me with a dish, and ended up throwing away the vegetable stems and keeping the leaves! After all my hard work, he had the nerve to say it looked like hospital food! And that's not all; when I asked him to wash the dishes, he claimed he'd never done it before and asked me to show him how. Can you believe it? He's literally asking for a fight!"

Hertha was so worked up, she felt like if Alaric were there, she might just grab him for a round of fisticuffs!

Seeing Hertha all riled up, Thalassa couldn't help but laugh, "Aren't you just friends? You're getting so mad, people might think you want to marry the guy."

Hertha was anxious about hearing bad news.

Thalassa shared, "Yesterday, Lysander and I visited the orphanage."

"Why'd you go there? Don't tell me the Sinclair patriarch sent your kids to an orphanage?" Hertha's heart raced with worry for Thalassa.

Thalassa chuckled, "What are you talking about? The kids are fine, they're at the military school. I'm talking about something that concerns you."

"The more you talk, the more confused I get. Both my kids are with my mom, pampered and well taken care of. They wouldn't end up in an orphanage," Hertha said, puzzled.

"Just hear me out," Thalassa urged.
