“Look at you, a grown woman and you can’t even walk properly,” Evelyn scolded her, although her eyes were full of concern. 

“I know, Mom. I’ll be more careful. I know you care about me the most,” Thalassa cooed, moving forward to hug Evelyn, her cheek brushing against Evelyn’s, 

Evelyn chuckled, her heart warmed, but she feigned irritation, “Alright, alright. Go away. You’re not a child anymore.” 

Evelyn gently pushed her away, the smile finally returning to her face.
