Thalassa froze. Her breath was hitched by his deep, fiery exhalation. 

Her eyes widened as his lips ravished hers. 

Her tongue went numb as she felt an electrocution went through her entire body and spread to all her limbs. 

The shower in the bathroom was turned on and drenching both of them. Lysander held Thalassa as the water fell over them and soaked 

their clothes. 

The fabric clung to Thalassa’s graceful body, outlining her beautiful curves. 

Lysander’s large hand gripped her small waist to pull her closer to him. 

His own clothes were also wet; his black shirt appeared even darker under the water’s touch. His broad chest and solid abs hinted at a masculine beauty full of strength. 

The sound of the shower echoed in the bathroom. Lysander’s kisses moved from Thalassa’s ear to her neck. She unconsciously tilted her head back, her lips parting, her eyelashes fluttering. The light in front of her seemed to dance. 

Thalassa was woken up by her phone. 

Blinking her eyes open, she found the other side of the bed empty. Lysander had already gotten up. 

Rubbing her eyes and sitting up, she felt a dull ache in her lower back as if it was falling apart. 

Grinding her teeth in annoyance, Thalassa thought Lysander never knew when to stop. 

He always left her in such disarray. 

She picked up her phone and answered, “Hello?” 

Thalassa, you’re the only secretary in my office. Even if you’re going to be late, don’t be this late. I don’t know who to assign my work to today. Ethan’s voice, which was laced with amusement but still carrying the tone of a boss, came from the other end. 

Thalassa blinked and looked at the time on her phone. 

Oh my God, it was already eleven! 

It was almost time for lunch and she was still in bed! 

No wonder Ethan was rushing her. She had been late without any warning more than once or twice. 

Hastily, Thalassa apologized, “I’m sorry, Mr. Ethan. I got held up. I’m on my way.” 

1 won’t dock your pay this time. Just don’t be late again,” Ethan said. 

Thalassa was about to agree when she remembered that if Ethan hadn’t been such a snitch and told Lysander that it was Leopold who had taken her to the office, Lysander wouldn’t have come to pick her up from work. 

If so, she would have gone back to her apartment at Vibrant Oasis Residences.
