Lysander’s childhood was marred by the constant bickering of his parents, a situation that ended with their sudden departure from his life.

But Zephyr feared Lysander’s defense would crumble, in which case he would follow in his father’s footsteps. “Alright,” Lysander agreed. 

As Thalassa was enjoying a meal with the children, a man with a refined air and a constant gentle smile on his lips approached, “May I join you?” 

Thalassa looked up and recognized the man as Callum, whom she had just been introduced to by Ethan. 

Before she could respond, her daughter, Elowen, pointed to an empty spot next to her and chirped, “Sir, you can sit here. No one’s sitting here.” 

Callum turned his gaze to Elowen, whose chubby little face was smeared with crumbs and there was cream stained on her cherry lips. Her large, innocent eyes were as clear as a spring brook. 

That was so adorable. 

He found his heart melting at her cuteness. He couldn’t help but pat her little head gently and filled his voice with affection. 

“Thank you, sweetheart. You’re so pretty. I wish I had a daughter as beautiful as you,” he said as he took the seat next to Elowen, looking at her with a gentle and loving smile. 

Elowen felt a sense of familiarity. As she giggled, her brows curled up in a way that was irresistibly cute, “Sir, are you my mom’s friend?” 

“Yes, I want to talk to your mom about something,” Callum replied, his soft voice sweetening itself unconsciously. 

The presence of a child he liked made his voice alter. 

“Oh, what do you want to talk about?” Elowen asked curiously. 

The other three children also looked at Callum with curiosity. 

Thalassa was surprised. She just met Callum for once and they barely knew each other. So what could he possibly want to talk to her about?
