I walked to a small alley where Ryan caught up and grabbed my arm.

He hurriedly explained, "I didn't let her kiss me. I didn't want to kiss her. Haley, please don't be angry—"

I finally lost my patience, "I've had enough, Ryan! We're together now—don't you know you should keep your distance from other girls?!"

"If you can't let her go, then don't be with me!"

"It's not like that. My feelings for her are truly just like for a sister—"

Vivi quickly caught up with us, with Tyler following step by step behind her. Several thugs wielding steel pipes and switchblades surrounded us.

Tyler's face was dark, a sinister smile forming.

"Vivi Greene, he's not your boyfriend at all. You're playing me?"

Vivi hid behind Ryan with a tearful voice. "Ryan..."

Ryan shielded her.

Tyler was already tall, but Ryan still looked down at him.

"Whether I'm her boyfriend or not, she's already rejected you. Can't you understand English?"

"Rejected?" Tyler raised an eyebrow. "Why does she always come when I invite her? Stringing me along while crushing on someone else. Vivi Greene, you're quite the player."

I suddenly turned to look at Vivi. She had tears in her eyes.

"I didn't. Ryan, he's lying about me."

Tyler laughed coldly. "Ryan Thompson, you've got skills. I know your family has money, but that won't help you here."

He waved his hand, and his companions closed in.

"You're quite the ladies' man. They're all circling around you." Tyler suddenly smiled, pointing at Vivi and me.

"Today you can choose one girl to leave with you. The other stays and keeps me company tonight. Don't worry, I'll take good care of her for you."

My heart instantly went cold.

I was Ryan's girlfriend, but would our few months together outweigh his years of shared history with Vivi?
