JASON STOKES

I angrily pulled up in front of my parents house and went in with the madness that had descended on me since I've knew that Dad was the one to be blamed for Lexi's disappearance.

"Sweetie!" My mom said as soon as she saw me but I ignored her and headed to dad's office instead where I knew he was going to be

"Jason what is wrong?" Mom asked

"Mom stay out of this" I barked and entered dad's office

"Jason" dad called calmly and smiled "it's nice to finally see you in person"

"Where is Lexi?" I asked him as calm as I could be in that situation

"What are you talking about? Who is Lexi?"

I closed my eyes and inhaled in air heavily to calm myself down more

"Dad, we both know who I'm talking about, so, stop playing dumb and tell me where she is"

"That bitch couldn't even resist just a million dollars"

"You're going to see the other side of me of you repeat that statement" I said between gritted teeth

"Jason, watch your mouth" mom warned

"Mom, stay out of this. Where is she?" I asked again

"How am I suppose to know where the bitch headed to? She didn't even think twice before taking the cheque from me"

"Lexi will never leave me for your money!" I said angrily

"But she did. Is that the person you want to spend the rest of your life with? A gold digger!"

"Lexi wouldn't leave me for your money!" I said again even though I knew she did "she wouldn't!"

"But she did. That shows us who she really is. Sit down and let's continue what we were discussing the last time you were here"

"The only thing I'm discussing with you is Lexi's whereabout"

"Jason, listen to your father, it's for your own good" mom advised

"There is nothing good we're discussing mom, because he already took away the only thing that is good for me"

"That girl failed the test" mom said

"He shouldn't have tested her to start with!"

"But he did, and she failed"

"Mom! Stop" I snapped

"She isn't good enough for you" dad said calmly

"So, Sofia is the one that is good enough for me, huh? I will rather remain single than to marry that fucking bitch" I said angrily and started walking out of his office "it's either you find that girl for me or your lose me too" I added

Mom ran after me

"Jason!" She called "listen to your father"

"It's better you both find me that girl or you lose me too" I threatened her

"Jason!" Mom called again as I was about to start the car

"This might be the last time you will be seeing me" I said, whined up the glass and zoomed off

I went straight to my house, took out a bottle of bear and started going through everything we've done together when an idea crossed my mind. I picked up my phone and dialled the only person that could help me in such a situation. Carl Parker, my private investigator

"Hello Mr Stokes"

"Carl!......" I explained everything to him from head to toe

"Consider it done sir" he said

"Okay, I will be waiting for your call"

"Bye"

I hung up the call and was about to put my phone down when my phone started ringing. It was an unknown number and I picked it up with the hope that Lexi was going to be the person on the line.

"Hello Mr Stokes, this is Cynthia"

My hope died instantly

"Lexi's friend" she added

"Hello"

"I heard what happened and I've been trying my possible best to track her down"

"Thank you"

"I don't know why she would have done such a thing because we talked this morning and she sounded fine on the phone"

I sighed heavily when the reason why she did it crossed my mind again.
