Suppressing her inner displeasure, Lysander explained, “Priscilla just had surgery, and the baby was almost lost. She’s been very anxious, and these past few days, you’ve been pressuring her about the baby’s gender. Her emotions were already unstable, and if this continues, it could develop into prenatal depression….” 

“Huh? Depression? She’s just giving birth to a child. Who hasn’t given birth before? In our time, we didn’t even have such good conditions, but nobody got depressed.”

Lysander glanced at it and saw it was a call from Josiah. 

She went to the window and answered, “What is it?” 

Josiah asked, “Lysander, have you gotten off work?” 

Lysander checked her watch. It was already time to get off work. “Not yet. I need to settle something for Priscilla. 

“Do you need my help? I’m right outside your hospital now. I can come in if you need me to.” 

“You can’t help with matters concerning a pregnant woman…” Suddenly, Lysander remembered something he might actually be able to help with. “Don’t come in. I’ll come out now.”
