Chapter 158 The Romance Between Young Boys And Girls. 

“I’m sorry, Zachary.” 

Zachary adjusted his black–framed glasses, demonstrating magnanimity as he said, “It’s okay. We haven’t been in touch for so many years. It’s no wonder you don’t remember me.” 

Lysander chuckled awkwardly. “Where are you working now?” 

“I’m working in an architectural design company in Harborbrook.” 

“That sounds great.” 

“Well, those of us in construction have to work on–site. It’s exhausting.” 

Construction? 

No wonder he’s holding a set square. It seems there are also a few other professional measuring instruments in his hands. although they’re quite small I was too preoccupied with worrying about Michelle to notice. 

Pleasantries aside, Lysander had another matter weighing on her mind–Michelle and the physics teacher. 

As if seeing right through her thoughts, Zachary took the initiative and suggested, “It’s still a bit early for dinner. Shall we find a place to sit for a while?” 

Lysander raised an eyebrow. Does he know what’s going on? 

“Lysander…” 

Michelle gently tugged at her sleeve.. 

Lysander turned around, only to see Michelle blushing with her head lowered. 

“What’s wrong?” 

“Let me introduce you to someone… 

Michelle stretched out her hand, pointing toward a spot not too far away. 

A young boy, dressed in a matching school uniform and carrying a shoulder bag, was pushing a bicycle with one hand. In his other hand, he was casually bouncing a basketball. He was engaged in a lively conversation with another student beside him, which showed that he was quite popular among his peers. 

“Lysander, what do you think?” 

Lysander nodded. “He seems quite cheerful.” 

“He’s the captain of our school’s basketball team.” 

Lysander came to a realization. She folded her arms and smiled at Michelle. “It’s not your physics teacher?” 

With a blush on her face, Michelle said, “Oh, it’s a long story… I need to go and talk to him about something. You chat with Zachary for a while.” 

After speaking, she didn’t even wait for Lysander’s approval before darting off.

The boy was clearly waiting for her too. All the other classmates had left, leaving him alone, standing by the roadside with his bicycle. Seeing Michelle running toward him, he naturally handed her the snack hanging on 

the handle of the bike. 

Then, he smoothly took Michelle’s backpack and slung it over his shoulder. 

“The romance between young boys and girls is quite adorable, don’t you think?” 

Snapping back to reality, Lysander noticed that Zachary was also looking at the young couple ahead. She smiled softly and gave a slight nod. “Yeah.” 

It was far better than she had anticipated. 

At the very least, he wasn’t a married physics teacher with a child. 

“Let’s go. We should move a bit further away. Those two youngsters might feel uncomfortable with you around.” 

Lysander had also noticed it. 

Michelle was pointing in her direction, saying something to the boy. 

The boy noticed her gaze and immediately stiffened, standing as straight as if he had just seen the dean. 

He then gave a deep bow. 

Lysander felt both embarrassed and somewhat amused. 

Michelle waved at her and called out, “Lysander!” 

Lysander signaled a phone call gesture to her, which Michelle instantly understood and responded with a compliant nod. 

“Is this a secret code between you sisters?” 

“Well, sort of. I asked her to call me once she’s done,” Lysander explained. 

Zachary nodded and pointed to a café not far away. “Shall we sit there?” 

After listening to what Zachary had to say, Lysander finally understood what the issue with the so–called physics teacher was all about. 

In simpler terms, Michelle had fallen for a boy who was an average student. 

Although she wasn’t as academically gifted as Lysander, getting into a top public university was not an issue. 

However, the boy faced considerable challenges. Despite putting in tremendous effort, he could only get into a second–tier public university based on his results from several mock exams. 

Maverick and Laura had planned for Michelle to follow in Lysander’s footsteps. This was considered the most stable route. Whether she chose to remain in Harborbrook for her medical studies or to join Zachary at a university focused on science and engineering, both options would ensure her continued closeness to her family. 

However, the problem was that there weren’t any decent second–tier public universities in Harborbrook.

The boy’s family intended to send him to Apex City, which was over a thousand kilometers away from Harborbrook, Consequently, the young lovers would find themselves in a long–distance relationship during their passionate phase of love. 

Zachary said, “Your parents are strongly against her dating at a young age. Every time she tried to discuss it with them, they’d shut her down with “Why don’t you learn from your sister? Once, after a particularly fierce argument, Michelle, out of frustration, deliberately claimed that she was in love with her physics teacher. This left your parents fuming, of course.” 

After listening to everything, Lysander rubbed her temples. Why do I have to take the blame for this? 

“Lysander, did you return this time with your husband?” 

“No, it’s just me.” 

“Then…” Zachary pointed toward the door of the café. 

“What’s wrong?” 

“It seems that car has been following you.”
