It had been quite some time since the dining hall in the Thorne manor had accommodated such a large crowd. Today, the place had been spruced up in accordance with the standards befitting esteemed guests to welcome Maverick and his family. Even the tableware used was the porcelain collection of Howard.

“Thank you, Madam Susan, the soup tastes really good,” Lysander casually continued the conversation. 

The conversation then shifted towards the dishes. 

Howard spoke with a hint of nostalgia. “These dishes were all your favorites when you were a child. You never liked the skin on tomatoes, so the first step was always to peel them whenever we cooked anything that required tomatoes at home. As time went by, it gradually became a habit.
