Annie paused, silenced by Noelle's words.

She had never considered this perspective before. She used to see Noelle as arrogant, seemingly caring about no one. During those times, she often saw Winter looking pitiful while Noelle appeared to treat Winter poorly.

Thinking back now, it seemed like it was always Winter who approached Noelle, saying ambiguous things. Then, Noelle would seem uninterested in engaging with Winter, and Winter would end up apologizing to Noelle in a hurt manner.

Annie's face was somewhat flushed. She had always viewed things from Winter's perspective, thinking that Winter was humble while Noelle did not seem to care about her at all.

"Why don't we get along?" Noelle interrupted, shaking her head with a smile. "I also wonder why everyone thinks we don't get along."

Annie was completely stunned. "So, you and Winter don't have any issues?"

Noelle shook her head. "No, we do have issues." She chuckled.

"Do you think Winter considers me her sister? If she does, have you ever heard her say anything good about me?"

Annie thought carefully. It was true. Winter never said anything explicitly bad about Noelle, but she also never praised her. She would only make comments that guided others' perceptions, like saying Noelle did not mean any harm and was just confused.

"Alright, enough about Winter. Let's talk about why you wanted to meet me. I don't have much time," Noelle said, glancing at her watch. "My friends are waiting for me."

"Who I am doesn't matter," Noelle replied, now having a clearer picture of the events. It seemed Charles had handled things after she lost consciousness. "What matters is since you chose to talk to me today, you must have understood a few things."

Noelle's eyes narrowed, noting that Annie seemed different after this ordeal.

Annie nodded. "I don't know why Winter has issues with you, but between you and me, I hope this is the last time."

Noelle understood and nodded. "I get what you're saying. Don't worry, I'm not a vengeful person. I have no intention of seeking revenge. As for whether I have any backing, you really don't need to know."

Noelle stood up and paid the bill. Before leaving, she added, "I think you should understand Winter better after this incident, right?"
