Charles spun around, grinning from ear to ear. "Sure!”
They did not leave the house until thirty minutes later. Charles had phoned Ronald, asking for extra backup at the horse ranch. Upon their arrival, they were not just greeted by Ronald's hired muscle; Sean and Peter were there, too.
Noelle often bumped into Sean, the last time being recently at the Phoenix Tree Residence. Peter, however, was a new face.
She had heard whispers about Peter, but they had never actually met.
Noelle stepped out of the car hand in hand with Charles to find Sean and Peter leaning against the door. Sean watched them with a look that was nothing short of intrigued. Despite the scrapes on his face, Charles still oozed charisma.
Charles arched an eyebrow, his gaze flicking from Sean to Peter, then his forehead creased ever so slightly. "What brings you two here?"
"Charles, come on. You could have been a bit more thoughtful. I just whisked Arnold away, and here you are, showing up at the horse ranch with Noelle hot on our heels!" Sean approached with a grin, giving Noelle a friendly wave. "Noelle, fancy seeing you again.”
Noelle forced a smile, her lips twitching slightly. "Yeah, what are the odds?"
"Come on, Noelle. There's no need to be so formal with Mr. Lennon. Just call him Peter, okay?" Sean said with a playful smile, glancing over at Peter. Although Peter shot Sean a sharp look, he quickly agreed with a nod. "Noelle, if you're fine with it, feel free to call me Peter!"
"Peter it is!" Noelle nodded, then turned her attention to Charles. "Aren't you guys famously known as the Four Young Masters of Brookville? Who's the missing one?"
"Are you talking about Steven? Noelle, catching Steven is like trying to spot a mythical dragon, but don't worry. You'll definitely get to meet him soon." Sean's smile was all innocence. "Steven promised he'd show up if Charles ever tied the knot."
Noelle looked skeptical and shot Charles a questioning look. Charles confirmed. "He's a busy guy and is hardly ever in Brookville. We might not see him around for a while, but he's bound to make an appearance at the big celebration!"
