Someone said this out loud and everyone proceeded to agree. “That’s right. Just look at Winter. She’s a famous celebrity right now. I heard that it’s difficult to meet her!”

“Yeah. A distant cousin of mine asked me to get her autograph when she found out we were classmates,” someone said. “Do you think she’ll show up tonight?”

“Tsk, tsk!” Rowena nudged Noelle’s shoulder and could not help but sigh. “Winter Shaw sure is popular!” She continued, “Look at that. Most of these people used to run after you back then, but they’re all salivating for Winter now.”

Noelle smiled and glanced at Rowena. “Are you feeling gleeful over my misfortune?”

Everyone turned their attention to the door. Winter walked in with Annie and Suzy and all of them turned their focus on Winter. “Hey, isn’t that our big celebrity? I thought you wouldn’t be here!”

“I won’t miss this for the world! How could I not be here when Mindy called me personally to invite me?” Winter looked beautiful and elegant. A few words from her was enough for everyone to attempt to get into her good graces.

Mindy was entertaining someone else when she saw Winter. She walked over. “Hey, old friend. Thanks for showing up!” Mindy gave Winter a big hug.

Even though Winter was unhappy about it, she put on a happy look. “It’s been a long time, Mindy.”

“Yes, it has. I was worried you wouldn’t come after calling you a few days ago.” Mindy looked at Winter thoughtfully. “Why are you here alone?”
