"It's their wedding anniversary," Charles said with a grin. "Aunt's not feeling too great, so Uncle doesn’t want to take her out. They're keeping it low-key at home. Let's not crash their cozy date night."

Uncle Henry, Charles's uncle, was notorious for spoiling his wife Nancy rotten. Even after over twenty years of marriage, his love for her had not faded one bit. Charles could not help but admire their relationship.

Noelle had not known Henry and Nancy for very long, but she had gotten to know them well ever since the couple moved into Phoenix Tree Residence. She had witnessed their unwavering support and devotion to each other.

With Nancy's health on the rocks, Henry had been her pillar of support, giving her his undivided attention. It was a rare kind of love, and Noelle was relieved that Nancy had Henry by her side.

"Okay, we'll grab dinner out today," Noelle decided. It was Henry and Nancy's anniversary, after all, and she and Charles would not dream of intruding. That just would not be cool.

"I'll meet you after work! You're not stuck with overtime tonight, right?"

"Nope, I'll clock out early," Charles replied, his eyes twinkling with affection. "It’s up to you—dinner or a movie? Work's been crazy lately, and it feels like forever since our last real date."

Noelle whispered under her breath, "We're already married, but you’re still acting like we're dating." Charles overheard and chuckled, shaking his head. "Okay, bye! You've got things to do!"

"Yeah, I can't really chat now. I've got a ton of stuff to wrap up here."

Seeing Noelle's nonchalant response, Arya just shrugged and said, "Alright, off to work I go!" She was only a little curious, so she was not too bothered.

As the clock signaled the end of another long day, Noelle swiftly cleared her desk and darted out with her bag swinging at her side.

She was extra alert on her way to Charles's underground parking lot as it was dark and shadowy. Charles had not shown up yet, so Noelle slipped into his car to wait. Unbeknownst to her, another figure had followed her descent, eyes locked on the very car she was in. That figure was Janet, but Noelle had been so stealthy getting into the car that Janet had not caught a glimpse of her.

Janet was there on a mission: to snag a ride in Charles's car. She had been lying low at Collosus Group, waiting for her moment, but Charles was like a locked vault, giving nothing away. Something about Noelle's figure today, seen from a distance, sparked a strong hunch in Janet. She could not shake the feeling that she knew Noelle from somewhere, but the memory was as elusive as a shadow.
