"Sean..." Rowena turned to Sean, her expression utterly confused. She did not get why Sean was there and was about to ask when his piercing gaze met hers. He flashed a brief, disarming smile. "I take it you're Noelle's friend, Miss Rowena? And the other lady here must be Miss Teresa, right?"

Before Rowena could say anything else, she was interrupted: "Hello. I'm Andy, Noelle's boyfriend."

Rowena's eyes nearly popped out of her head, her mouth hanging open in shock. "Noelle, he... You two?"

"Noelle, this is the guy I've been telling you about, my blind date, Andy." Noelle gave Rowena a quick pinch from behind and whispered, "Keep it cool!"

Rowena snapped out of her daze. "Oh, so you're the infamous brother-in-law Noelle can't stop talking about..." Rowena said with a playful drawl. "Nice to meet you!"

Sean gave Rowena and Teresa a perfunctory handshake before focusing on Winter. "Ms. Shaw, we haven't seen each other for just a few days. Surely you don't think I'm some kind of scoundrel?" Sean's words were measured, a clear caution directed at Winter.

Winter's face lost color. "Of course not, Mr. Jones. How could you be anything but honorable? You're such a joker, Mr. Jones!"

Sean's smile disappeared. "Oh, did I misunderstand something?"

Winter inhaled deeply. "I was just catching up with my sister. Are you here to see Noelle? You're always so considerate of her!"

"Of course. I'd do anything to make my girl happy," Sean said with a chuckle, glancing at Winter. "Where's Mr. Shaw while you’re out shopping with a bunch of aunts?"

The ladies were speechless.

The moment the clerk heard the name, he knew this was no small-time purchase. He scrambled to pack everything. "So, Mr. Jones, will that be card or..."

"Card!" Noelle chimed in, whipping out the card and passing it to the clerk. "Give these to the ladies later, will you? Get their sizes first!" Noelle said, then glanced at Sean. "We should head out!"

Sean nodded, oozing confidence as he gathered the shopping bags Noelle and Rowena were carrying. "Let's head back. My car’s downstairs. Dinner's on me later."

"Well, we can’t refuse that offer!" Hearing the magic words 'free food', Rowena did not care who Sean or Andy were anymore. She was in high spirits, especially after getting a kick out of Winter's sour expression. "Don't come crying to me if we eat you out of house and home, Noelle!"

"I dare you to try!" Sean's eyes crinkled with mischief." Ms. Shaw, let's catch up when you've got a minute!"
