Of the Noveldrama stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is The Cherished Wife. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 879. Let's read the author's The Cherished Wife Noveldrama story right here.
"Are you serious?" Layla's eyes lit up with disbelief as she looked at Jordan. "You're not lying to me?"
"You should know by now that I never lie. If I've promised you something, I'll keep my word," Jordan said, his gaze fixed steadily on Layla.
"We can't choose the circumstances of our birth, but we can change our destiny. I don't love you, not because you aren't a true daughter of the Hoffmans but because you've done too many things that I can't accept. If you're willing to change, I'll try to accept you, and I promise I'll never bring up divorce again."
"Really?" Layla still could not quite believe it. She only relaxed when she saw Jordan nod. However, as if something suddenly came to mind, she placed her hand over her stomach. "But..."
"But what?" Jordan looked at Layla with suspicion, unable to understand why she was still hesitating when he had gone this far. "You still don't trust me?"
"No, I believe you." Layla quickly shook her head. "I believe everything you're saying. It's just… Three years ago, I'm not entirely sure what happened to Tania, but someone called me back then, and so..."
Layla began recounting everything she knew to Jordan without holding back.
Meanwhile, in the adjacent room, Peter and Sean were watching the conversation unfold on a monitor. They could clearly hear everything Layla and Jordan were saying.
Sean clucked his tongue and stood up, patting Peter's shoulder. "Who would've thought Jordan would throw away his own future happiness for Tania?"
Sean barely finished his sentence before sensing a surge of killing intent. He quickly dodged just as Peter swung a punch at him.
Sean took a step back, narrowly avoiding the hit. "Hey, Peter, what's wrong with you!" He had only mentioned that Jordan liked Tania. Was that really worth hitting him over?
By the time Sean arrived, Jordan had already calmed Layla down. Seeing Sean enter, Jordan asked, "Where's Peter?"
"He left. You can deal with me directly." Sean smiled, his gaze shifting to Layla.
In an instant, Layla tensed up, her body rigid with fear. She gripped Jordan's sleeve tightly. "Jordan!"
Jordan's expression darkened, and he did his best to suppress his discomfort. He reached out to gently pat Layla's shoulder in reassurance. "Don't worry, he won't harm you."
Even though Jordan said this, Layla still eyed Sean warily, her guard now fully up.
