"No way! Brandon is so adorable, and he really likes me!" Noelle said as she placed the cup on the desk. Then, glancing at the stack of documents, she frowned slightly. "You still have so much work left?"

"Yeah."

"By the way, about what I mentioned earlier today, you should probably look into it. I have this feeling Tania's story doesn't add up. You should've seen how she reacted when she saw Peter. I was there with him at the airport, and the moment she saw me, she was full of hostility."

"Really?" Charles raised an eyebrow. "Are you tattling?"

"I'm being serious!" Noelle glared at him. "She seemed to think there was something between Peter and me. You have no idea how furious she was when she talked to him, like she was spitting fire.

"And then she was cold toward me too. I think she still has feelings for Peter. As for her saying she's married… Well, I'd suggest you dig into that." Noelle patted Charles' shoulder as if she was passing on a great responsibility.

Charles chuckled at Noelle's exaggerated gesture, giving her a light pat on the back. "I've already asked Ronald to investigate. And does Peter know about Brandon?"

Noelle nodded. "Know about him? Peter looked like he was barely holding it together when he first saw Brandon. Honestly, when Tania had Brandon address him as Mr. Lennon, Peter's face was priceless.

"But I didn't expect Peter to actually carry Brandon later on. I thought he'd be furious, especially with Tania claiming the child isn't his. I figured he'd at least take it out on the kid."

"Peter's not like that." Charles shook his head. He was certain of that.

"But what if Brandon really isn't Peter's son? Wouldn't that—"

"As long as he's Tania's child, Peter will accept him." Charles pulled Noelle closer into his arms. "You still don't fully understand Peter. He… loves Tania deeply."

"Hmm." Charles lifted Noelle and gently set her down on the couch. "For the next few days, don't worry about going to the company. Spend some time with Tania and Brandon, take them around."

Noelle agreed. "And what about Trevon?"

"I've already sent someone to look into him." Charles frowned slightly. For some reason, the name sounded oddly familiar, but he could not quite place it.

Considering that he was someone who could whisk Tania away and keep both him and Peter from finding her, Trevon was not someone to be taken lightly.

If Trevon's intentions were purely for Tania's well-being, there would not be much concern. However, if there were other motives, Trevon was definitely a dangerous figure.
