Tania rushed upstairs and caught Peter trying to calm down a sobbing Brandon. She scrunched her eyebrows. "What's going on here?"

She swooped in, scooped Brandon into her arms, and cradled him close. Her expression was the picture of concern. "Shh… It's okay, Brandon. Mommy's got you. What's the matter, sweetie? Did you miss me?"

"Mommy, owie!" Brandon's tear-streaked face was heartbreaking. "I need mommy's cuddles!" He clung to Tania's neck like a little koala.

Tania shot Peter a wary look. "Why's he in pain? What happened?"

Peter's brow creased. "It's nothing, really. Brandon just took a tumble out of bed. I'm no good with kids," he confessed, keeping a straight face.

Tania did not buy it and glanced over at Charles and Steven. "Bro..."
